I'd like to get this game but I need a controller pak. Honestly? Who owned a controller pak growing up? Almost all of the good games were saveable on the cart.

Well you are missing out on other great N64 games. I recommend you broaden your horizons. Castlevania is awesome, don't get me wrong, but it would feel more fresh if you played other games inbetween sessions.

You should also visit the N64 board Crazy. It is not very alive but you will get some more discussion on Castlevania and N64. Go there and post that Castlevania is one of your favourite games.

Obviously, there are many great N64 games that everyone can enjoy like Mario 64, Star Fox, Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Kazooie etc. If you like Castlevania you might particularly like Zelda Majora's Mask. Majora's Mask is a much more foreboding game than Ocarina of Time and has a very eerie and creepy atmosphere much like Castlevania. It is a very fun adventure, not too long but not too short, with lots of platforming, puzzles and monster killing. Time plays a very important role in the gameplay too.

Also consider: Banjo-Tooie, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 2, Paper Mario, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, Mario Kart, Goldeneye 64, Turok, and Perfect Dark.
