Castlevania: Lords of Shadow User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Highly addictive"
This is my 1st Castelvania game.
And I'm really glad it is a series reboot so we new fans loose nothing of the story.
Without revealing any spoiler the story is intriguing and it unveils through the game, by each chapter you complete in form of cutscenes and written (read by Sir Patrick Stewart).
The gameplay as many stated resembles Devil May Cry / God of War style gameplay, with mixed platforming from Uncharted / Tomb Raider.
The fighting gets really boring if you mesh constantly only one button, but as soon as you starts performing other combos, the fights get really spectacular.
I especially enjoy midlevel half bosses, it breaks the monotony that many games set, with the usual 'end level boss'.
If you like supernatural settings, with spectacular fighting and interesting characters you will enjoy Castelvania: Lords of Shadow.
cheers

I guess its Castlevania God of War style. Not really a bad thing.

Good gameplay and graphics. The story is quite confusing and lastly it has no multiplayer, so that's a let down.
