Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is great game. There I said it. While the game does not adhere to its traditional Castlevanian roots, it provides a fun experience that all fans of action-adventure games will enjoy. To be frank, I'm surprised the game only got a 7.5. Castlevania plays well and will have you captivated for hours. The environments are colorful and fresh, combat is great and enjoyable (the boss fights and the various creatures you can ride make for extra fun), and the platforming and puzzle sections provide a nice break from the action. For me there is not much replay value, but the game is really long with an interesting story. Castlevania does have its flaws and I find the camera bothersome occasionally, but overall it is a great game.
