I'm hooked!

When I gave the first 3 Castlevania games a shot for the first time, I was satisfied with them. (Well, 1 and 3 anyway.) But when I played the 3rd one, I was instantly hooked. The best thing is the password system. I hated that with the 1st game. I'm glad that the passwords are so simple. The 4x4 grid is easy to memorize if you have a good memory. The level selection is one of my favourites. You don't have to do stages in order. That part is cool. I actually like the stage thing more than the "free roaming" thing they did with most of the others. You don't have to guess where to go. The levels are quite varied, which is enjoyable. The weapons are neat too. That branches off to the one thing I don't like. You lose your weaponry when you die. The extra power-ups like the throwing daggers and axes being lost, I can live with. But having to get that flail with the great reach all over again is a little annoying. I'm actually beginning to like the original Castlevanias better than the new ones. Some games I hate time limits, I don't mind it this much in this game because they give you plenty of time if you use it well. I'd definately reccomend it to collectors.
