A great value for two great games. If you enjoyed Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow for the DS you should buy this.

User Rating: 8.2 | Castlevania Double Pack GBA
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow for the Nintendo DS was one of the best games on the DS so far and with Castlevania Portrait of Ruin for the DS coming out in a couple of months this double-pack is definitely worth a look. This double-pack comes with two gba games in one cartridge; Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance and Castlevania Aria of Sorrow. If you liked Dawn of Sorrow you should pick this up because Aria of Sorrow features the same characters from that game and the overall style of game is very similar. Yeah, I know I went through the series backwards lol. Anyway the downside is that if you don't get stuck you can probably beat Aria of sorrow in 10 hours and I would suspect the same of the other game (haven't beaten it yet). Combined though you still get quite a bit of game-time. Harmony of Dissonance (sorry if I am miss-spelling it) is basically the same game-style but the main character uses a whip whereas Soma from Sorrow could equip different kinds of weapons. Also, the emphasis on Dissonance is on the use of magic instead of collecting/equiping Souls. This gives you a good bit of variety between the two so you will not feel like you're getting the same game twice. Both games feature different characters and the main characters are unique. Note however these are GBA games so they will not look as smooth as say the DS Dawn of Sorrow game. They don't look bad by any means just don't expect the nice after-glow that Soma had in the DS game to be there in the GBA or any of the nice 3-D backgrounds. The sound quality is probably my biggest gripe. The music in some areas sounds good but there are others where I have to turn the volume off because the music is kind of annoying and repetitive. That aside I highly recommend this game to anyone who liked Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (and, like me, it was there first Castlevania game). I would also recommend it to those who are eagerly awaiting the release of Castlevania Portrait of Ruin for the DS also.
