One of my all time favorite Castlevania games....
Gameplay- The camera was a bit choppy, it was managable though. The controls felt like the first nes castlevania as restrictioins and such, but nothing too dissapointing. The whip system worked pretty well, and the inclusion of the subweapon (sword) made the game endless fun. Its pretty linear and short, though its worth it. Yeah.
Graphics- The outdoor envirements were a tad bland, but once you go inside the castle the details are a lot more texterized. One thing to say, the character models are probably the best graphics on the n64, the faces are smooth and detailed, and the animation was nice.
Sound- Castlevania always has fabulous sound. The mix of pianos and violins and other creepy tunes keep the game interesting and keep you on your feet especially the part with the explosives, damn its hard).
Value- decent, you can play wih 2 characters that have very similar controlling and not too different storylines. It could have been very legendary as in if konami took another few months to add and polish this up, this could have been a hit game.
Tilt- Im a sucker for the whole castlevania idea, meh.
Innovations/etc- Well nothing new here, the whip aiming system is a target which is a mix of zeldas target-on and free roaming. The night and day feature was littlly used though you had MANY day and night cards. Talking about innovations i think it is a great idea for konami to make a Nintendo Revolution Castlevania, hint hint (*Remote = Inertactive whip*) cough cough. excuse me. Well anyway, if you havent played this your missing out on f-u-n.
