I was really late into the game getting Castle Crashers; I purchased just a few days ago during a sale on Xbox Live. I am really glad I did, but I should have purchased way before!

The gameplay itself is very simplistic but superbly done. The controls are very tight, and it seems any mistakes are my fault and never just the game not working correctly. It is a button masher, but CC includes enough diversity in the gameplay to keep it fresh in its own right.

One of my favorite parts of the game is just the neat looks of the game. I am a sucker for unique art styles in games and CC does not disappoint in this category. The quirky looks to everything from the playable characters, princesses, animals, etc. just add to the overall playful mentality of the game itself. The artistic merit in this game keeps me coming back because I want to see the new enemy designs.

The difficulty in the game seems to be spot on for a game like itself. There are difficult parts and if it is not played correctly it will probably be game over. There really is not any penalty for dying, which is nice, but putting some sort of negative consequence for dying would have made the game a little more pressure-laden. I would not have minded that at all since I like my games to be more on the difficult side.

Overall, my experience with Castle Crashers has been great, and even though I have not been playing for too long it has been an awesome time. I am definitely planning on exploring each and every portion of the game itself since I just keep having tons of fun with the game itself!
