It's about time that a Pixar licensed video game gets good ratings in a review.

User Rating: 9.6 | Disney/Pixar Cars PS2
At the beginning of the game, you're going to see the companies that created the game when the disc starts to spin. After that, you'll see a sky with "Cars" in the middle of the screen. Once the startup screen says "Press the START Button," the main menu appears on the screen after you press START. In Story Mode, you can either choose from full size or compact. The full size version has five chapters, and you need to win 250 trophies to finish the story. However, in the compact version of Story Mode, you need to earn 177 trophies. There are lightning bolts to find, with the red icons with a yellow bolt is found just about everywhere, and they award you 100 points. The red icons with a white bolt is also easy to find, and they give you 500 points. The extremely challenging to find gold icons with a yellow bolt and you're awarded 2000 points for finding them. Sometimes, you have to pull off a trick to collect those 2000 points. You also earn points for doing tasks such as powersliding, being a safe driver, best time, best lap time, leading a lap, and "Big Air."

You may enter codes, or complete a part of Story Mode, to unlock the characters.

In Arcade Mode, you can play as any character that you've unlocked already. You need two controllers to play in the Vs. Mode. In addition to the races, you're given the mini-games to spice up your play.

I know that the game has a long list of people to mention on the credits, but it will take a while to go through, playing the main menu music several times while the credits roll.

Get used to hearing the main menu music, because it's the same one every time you enter the main menu, whether you like it or not.

I really love the voice talent such as Owen Wilson, Richard Petty, Bonnie Hunt, Paul Newman, Larry the Cable Guy (with an exciting "Git-R-Done" sequence), Cheech Marin, Jennifer Lewis, Michael Keaton, Darrell Waltrip, Guido Quaroni, Tony Shalboub, George Carlin, and Paul Dooley. All of those names are those that you will recognize from the movie, as will Radiator Springs and all of the places, such as Luigi's Cassa Della Tires, Ramone's House of Body Art, Cozy Cone Motel, Flo's V-8 Cafe, Doctor Hudson Hornet's Medical Clinic, and Sarge's Surplus Hut.

You can spend the points that you've earned in Story and Arcade Mode to unlock paint jobs, cars, movie clips, and concept art.

I love Cars: The Video Game. There is a great soundtrack, including the Edgar Winter Group, All American Rejects, Lynryd Skynyrd, and Bruno Coon. My favorite songs from the game are "Free Ride" and "Natural Born Hippies."

This paragraph is for you in case you have not watched the movie. The world where my favorite movie takes place, the world is populated entirely by cars, trucks, and other machinery. There are eyes on the windshield, as you can see on the game box, rather than on the headlights. The events take place after the events in the movie.
