Carcassonne has been around on XBLA for a while now. And I've been playing it for a while too. In fact... hundreds of games worth! I find this to be one of those "just one more game" games. It is easy to learn, yet takes time to master. And in my case, it is highly addictive.

The premise is simple. Place a tile and optionally a follower to claim farms, cities, roads or monasteries. The trick is where to place the tiles, and when to place followers. You have a limited number of followers to place. When you complete cities or roads, you earn points. You also earn points at the end of the game for various other things. The player with the most points after all the tiles are used and the final points are tallied wins the game.

If you have ever had "addictions" to games such as Minesweeper, Solitaire and the like, then this game is right up your alley. I would highly recommend downloading the Rivers, Rivers II, and King & Baron expansions, which add more tiles to the game and provides additional scoring opportunities. Even with the expansions, the game is still pretty inexpensive for the amount of play you can get from it. In my case hundreds of hours!
