Now by that opeing part you would think that i would think that Cannon Fodder is a bad game...well to be honest....today...here and now in this day and age...No it is not a bad game no it is not a great game but it is a fun game...a fun game well about being Cannon Fodder...What eles where you expecting a golfing game? A game with Cannon's? or a Fodder game...? Hang on say what now.
Cannon Fodder came into the world in March 24, 1993. otherwise known as the year before 94 and the year after 92...It is a game that has been on many many platforms:
3DO, Acorn Archimedes, Amiga, Amiga CD32, Atari Jaguar, Atari ST, Game Boy Color, PC, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, SNES.
The story to Cannon Fodder is very very simple you are in control of up to eight man that can be split into three squads called Snake, Eagle and Panther. They are armed with machine gun's with unlimited ammunition and can pick up grenades and rockets that can be found on the map as well oas take a few with them at the start of a mission.
Talking of which the missions ranged from Kill all enemies or Destroy enemy buildings to Rescue all hostages. The player had to plan what they where going to do and use there imagination. They could even have to split their team into two or more groups and leave one group to defend an area or route, assigning its control to the game's artificial intelligence, while taking control of another group. if said mission called for it.
There has also been a Music video made by Jon Hare and Richard Joseph. It was called, War Has Never Been So Much Fun. So look it up if you can :).
As for Cannon Fodder itself it is alot of fun and can eat up many many hours of your time if you let it...now if you do not belive me then why not seek it out. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as i have.
