Okay so let me start off by just saying this game isnt on the same level of epicness as Bioshock or Battlefield Bad Company 2, but at the same time its not supposed to be. This game is made to be just plain fun and enjoyable. The developers did an oustanding job on the campaign for this entry, and if you played the last two you already know that techland puts great effort in creating and delivery to us gamers a immersive and great story/plot with also creating characters and villians that you actually like and care about. Thats whats great about this entry, the story is deep and has alot of twist and turns that leaves you wanting to keep playing all the way til the end to see the outcome of the game. & techland made sure they made some great characters thats are playable in this one, you have Eddie who is a DEA agent who's shady & who has his own agenda, then you have Kim who is a sexy but dangerous FBI agent whos got a brother in one of the top gangs in LA and that means she knows her gangs, then of course you cant make a new Juarez game without having a McCall in it, and this time you can play as Ben McCall whos tough as nails and badass as can be and who like the other 2 has his own back story, whcih brings me to the other amazing thing about this game. You dont jus play one character and then games done,instead Techland did something different and in my opinion this is wat makes this game stand out from other FPS games and also this is what makes CoJ: The Cartel a great game and if they didnt do this i truly believe this time around this Juarez would easily be forgotten and most likely not be good and only have real Juarez fans playing. But no this game delived something aamzing and that is you have 3 characters which i listed and you can go threw the campaign with each one and dont think ah i go threw the story same thing over n over, no you dont. Yes you have the same levels and main objective but what makes you actually want to go threw the game 3 times is that each character has their own unique abilities for example Kim is a longshot and with her you can have a better zoom with your weapons which is great cause no gun besided snipers n a unlockable pistol have a scope so this actually comes in handy, but besides the abilities each character has their own secret agenda tied in to the main story, im not gonna spol it for you but lets say this.... Each agency (FBI, DEA, LAPD) has their own mission for kim, eddie, n ben to do so really when you go threw each character you have a new back story, n you have your own unique secret agendas, and secret agendas are important cause they unlock new guns. What the agendas really are is theres two kinds. you have the ones where are really impprtant and basically are what the FBI, DEA, or LAPD boss wants you to do and also sometimes it can be what ur stripper buddy or your cartel drug dealer wants you to do something for them which can be something simple like while everyones fighting go secretly n un detected while unseen get the drugs from the connect. and this is what i meant by how each one has their own back story n mission. and then you have the regular collectables which for some reason are labled as secret agendas i giess their just basic simple agendas but eddie's is a brick of dope/coke he has to pickup which can be jus 3 in a level to him having to grab 6 in a level, kim has a golden pistol to grab n dont ask me why a pistol LOL, and finally ben has a walkie talkie which again dont ask me why i guess to hear what teh enemy has to say....?? And thats all im gonna really say about the campaign which has 15 missions total with a bunch of driving sections but not the whole level being jus driving n a variety of enviroments to go threw which keeps it fresh n fun. Now the multiplayer n online co-op. THIS GAME IS AMAZING N TRULY MEANT TO BE PLAYED IN CO-OP WITH TWO OTHER PEOPLE HENCE THE 3 CHARACTERS YOU CAN CHOOSE TO PLAY AS. the co-op is one of the best because you have teh secret agendas and you can go cacth them in the act which is fun and also the way its set up and how easy to get players in lobby which is like saints row lobby you waiting and being able to run around or practice shooting your new weapons caus eyour wiating by the car or in a safehosue which has a case where all the guns are u can choose, and you can have one main gun like a shotgun, sniper, or assault or SMG and then you have two other slots for pistols and theres alot of nice n really fun pistols. But besides the awesome single player and amazing co-op you have a decent but nothing truly outstanding that makes it stand out or makes it your go to online multiplayer game but that doesnt mean it sucks!! NO NOT AT ALL! its actually a really fun MP and they have two modes, TDM and Missions, TDM is TDM and Missions which is fun n addictive is basically each Map has 3-4 levels to it and this si also for TDM, and basiclaly each level has its own mission, example theirs a level thats the Motel in the dessert and if your a cop you have to from the start hop in your cop car and drive to the motel and then do the objectives it tells you and if yoru a criminal you have to strop the cops from completing their objective or in other times you have to go steal the money or breach into a building. MP is very simple and nothing un ordinary but like i said its not bad becasue of the simplicity its actually better in my opinon cause all you have is your mode n objective and then you have your character class which a total of 5 class's which you cans set up each one for your likeing and you have one main gun n two pistols to choose and then i believe 2 or 3 special abilities like heavy armor or better aim and ya thats all you ahve and basically pick ur class go do the objective of the mide and just play teh game and shoot n kill, you dont need to nothing crazy besides killing, and oh ya u can have a helicopter after you get certain kills or complete a objective. Overall this game has awesome graphics, some of the best character developments and how they are played and involved in the story in a FPS in awhile, you have alot of side agendas that each character has their own, you have alot of unlockable guns to achieve, amazing and truly awesome and addictive story/plot & campaign, addictive co-op, and a reallly really fun online multiplayer. I say if you want a just plain super fun shooter with a good MP and superb story then Call of Juarez: The Cartel is the game for you. I give THE CARTEL a good even 8 out of 10.
