Another Western. I wish there was more of these. This game is definitely worth checking out.

I was very impressed with this game. The controls were fluid and the detail in the environment was amazing. The two characters you play as, Ray and/or Thomas McCall, are both well done and equally enjoyable to use.

You can play through the storyline using both players and they have similar, but different storylines to follow through the game. They each have their own set of strengths and weaknesses in the game to help appeal to different style of gamers.

Ray McCall is the stronger of the two brothers, can use two pistols at once, dynamite and can kick through locked doors or force his way through a few other obstacles throughout the game. Although he's not as agile as his brother Thomas and you need to depend on Thomas to help you climb certain places in the game (although usually there's an alternative route you can take around most places).Thomas isn't as strong as his older brother Ray but he has other advantages such as being able to use a lasso to climb up onto things or the ability to use knives or the bow and arrow for a more stealthier approach of disposing of his enemies. He can only use one gun at a time and isn't allowed to use dynamite but he has a special zoom feature one using a long gun (rifle) that can come in handy depending on your style of play.

Concentration mode is also different depending on which character you are using. Ray has more shots available to him during concentration mode because he can use two guns at once where Thomas can only use one, but with Thomas in concentration mode you don't have to seek out your targets since it automatically does that for you and all you have to do is hold down R1 and flick the right analog stick down on each target until you use up all your ammo depending on which gun you are using.

The story is very well done with very good quality cutscenes to keep you as interested in the game as the gameplay will. The voice acting is very well done and they have secrets you can obtain while playing through the story that unlock photographs of the time period the game took place and entertaining voice clips between the brothers Thomas, Ray and William (Who is with you throughout the whole game but isn't a playable character).

Online is very entertaining with some nice trophies you can obtain, some easy and others pretty challenging to obtain. Same can be said for the offline trophies to be earned. Definitely a lot to this game to go along with the solid story and wonderful gameplay. You can build up money for weapons upgrades and to unlock new characters to be used while playing online, each with their own unique set of skills and weapons. It really appeals to a variety of gamers and does a good job of offering a lot of options for you to explore online and offline.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the game is how you can get better weapons and more money to use by searching your environment and collecting what is dropped from dead enemies. The detailed environment makes it very enjoyable to explore around and see what you can find to help you along. I've spent many hours with this game and look forward to spending many more with the high replay value that this game offers. If you haven't checked out Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood yet I highly recommend that you do, because I believe you will find it to be money and time both well spent. :) Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I'm new at these, but if I can inspire even one person to try this game out that otherwise wouldn't have then I consider this a success. :)
