While familiar, World at War delivers more solid Call of Duty action.

Treyarch has made a very solid and fun addition to the Call of Duty series. While obsolete compared to Modern Warfare 2, and may be considered inferior to COD 4 by some, waw does bring some new ideas to the table. Co-op campaign and nazi zombies, while providing more fine competive multiplayer.

The main story takes place in world war 2. You play as a soldier in the south Pacific and alternate to a Russian breaking through German defenses. Treyarch has used a very slick presenatation to present to cutscenes and provided some stark facts about the war. It is a very exciting game to play, but these facts make you realize the downsides of war.

The gameplay is standard for Call of Duty. Aim, shoot, reload, etc. The campaign is about the same length as other games in the series. But Treyarch has provided a co-op campaign which is an absolute blast. Another awesome addition is nazi zombies. You and three other players are stuck in a building and must survive zombies which get stronger and more numerous as the game goes on. Nazi zombies is surprisingly addictive and will keep you hooked.

The competive multiplayer is back and is pretty much the same as COD 4. If you enjoyed that, you are going to enjoy this as well.

The visuals in the game are awesome and the audio is top notch with gret music.

Overall, COD:WAW is more of the game we all loved from 2007, which is not a bad thing at all. A co-op campaign and nazi zombies will keep you hooked for weeks.
