Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 prepares to invade New York in this video review.
Gamespot always talks to much about the Single Player in FPS games >.<
and why didnt this game get the "Same As Last Year" achievement? cuz its exactly the same shit they released like 2 years ago. This game is also for casuals only, just run and gun not much skill at all. The games engine is 7 years old and they will also use it for COD BO2 that is very very cheap from the developers to just re use the old engine
LeTigah
waaaa. lol you could just ignore it, and it's a review, they should mention all modes/options in a game.
Chris Watters - :) Thanks for remembering us "lone wolves" as you call it that play these games. Spec Ops is the best part of this game. Campaign was disappointing and very short.
Tidal_Abyss
Agreed. Pretty bad when an additional feature is the best part of any game. I hear the mp is a campfest, the campaign is very short and unimpressive, even more so given the game's price.
why we can not create our character in all games?
if have GHOST and ROACH will be best
MW3 need more graphic , weapons costumisation in campain and more.but i love the game
tiago141285
It would be nice to have some of the weapon customizations in sp.
mw3 is the best game i played......... i love it.
why do people say mw3 has only campers? out of all games i play for multiplayer (cs source,tf2,halo reach,bf3,mw3,bad company 2,killzone 3 etc) mw3 and tf2 have the lowest number of campers bf3 and way way more campers but nobody sais enything
This game was designed for cowards and guys who pee sitting down. You spend too much time running around looking for people because 2/3 of the team is camping and hiding in corners. I just never could understand how someone can enjoy their $60 investment staying in one spot. Not for me.
Objectively speaking this is a tight and polished package with plenty of content, in fact my only issue with the game was that all the maps right out of the box were very very small with limited sight lines, this along with the strong feeling of familiarity made me trade it in within a week of buying it. Honestly, if they brought Highrise back I would go right back to the store and buy back the copy I traded in.
maps suck in multiplayer they are just asking for campers
campaign and spec ops > multiplayer
people need to get off MW3 dick
This game sucks so hard.
@codenameaf7 Well, I don't know then man. I mean if you can give an analytical breakdown of a video game like that and have so many negative points to share, maybe the game isn't really all that great. I don't give these games much thought and I'm totally oblivious to the problems you listed, so it doesn't sully the fun I have with the game. Bottom line is, the less thought you give virtual experiences like MW3, the more enjoyable they are. Try it out.
Campaign was epic. Loved every minute of it.
@stevieko5454 look at the rank he was at on the points you brought up in the video. He playtested it for a half an hour at best. Go check Metacritic's PC user review average and see what it really deserves and why. This may be a graphical "upgrade" for console users -- for PC though, it still barely qualifies for DLC which I wouldn't consider paying a penny more than £10 tops. Also since it's multiplayer alone that makes the game even worth that amount (unless you're a pre-pubescent kid who's still into GI Joe or something), it makes the PC version worthless, since: 1. most of the aimbotters from MW2 are now on MW3 (some wallhackers switched too, but most are still in MW2, since even the hackers think MW3 sucks) 2. lag compensation still punishes people by slowing down the game to some guy's dial-up connection, which breaks a game 9 times out of 10 3. dedicated servers still useless, as mentioned before 4. they've gone backwards by cutting out various perks and attachments that were there even in MW2 -- i'd rather have servers with custom rules on these, just like MW1 5. they've still yet to milk the PC version with worthless map packs (maybe they will port maps from COD3 this time?) There's a reason why COD4 still gets played so much, even by people who own MW3.
a few million teenage kids who just hit puberty bought this game, if a gamer wants a real challenge of a shooter than they know which game to buy...
Battlefield 3 is better than this imho. So realistic. Shooting isnt that easy as MW3 making it much more realistic.
@Mroowka then WHY did you buy it for computer? srsly that is the dumbest complaint ever -.-
Boring and same as the last ones. Bf3 is way better.
If its not broken...Don't fix it.. The recipe still works great i think...
@josh7845: Huh, that is a plus :P. Alright, well i am going to have to try it now XD.
@reyace You'll be happy to know that the campaign is much better than that of MW2. It is much more structured so you are aware of the context of your actions unlike MW2 or BlOps.
This Game does NOT deserve just an 8.5. This game was amazing. The Campaign was brilliant and the Survival mode beats zombies in every way. The only complaint one would have towards it is the campaign being extremely short. Otherwise it is a big improvement on the series.
bit ch e s didnt add gamepad support i hate playing on keyboard/mouse.
Okay, it's true that the game hasn't changed much, but thats what we expected and not many people can argue that. The few changes they made though, were good. The main problem with this games is the squeaky voiced 8 year olds making this game a joke. It's a good game ruined by the fact that 90% of the multiplayer is filled with 8 year olds.
@ziyad888 I never said the game was crap. I said that there are still criticisms for it regardless since no game or any other form of entertainment can truly be perfect. and I said that as good as it may be, it isn't worth $60.
@josh7845 but mate, the only people who complain are the people you hear/read from the internet. cause sales says that CoD is the most wanted game this gen and, maybe, of all time. you can't seriously say that the fans - the people that actually bought the game and still playing it - are not enjoying it.what does nine million+ in 16 days plus the populated multi-player tells you? Final Fantasy 13-2 sold 500k in it first week in Japan. and there, the main FF games always sell more than one million before the week ends. how do you know that your consumers don't want what you offer them? the answer is quit simple: your product won't sell.
I really hope this game didn't actually change our generation.
Then again, the multiplayer looks fun, I am just hesitant because it looks EXACTLY like MW2 except for the plot, some multiplayer changes, and the maps. Don't get me wrong this game is really good and so is the company, but i just wish they brought something new instead of doing the samething over and over and over again. First 3 times is ok but after that it is just like really? You can't blame it on Treyarch either, it is all of Activison's doing.
I only play this for campaign...ONLY
reyace
I play it solo too, but I also played the SpecOps, many of which can be done sp.
Gamespots reviews are getting shorter and shorter.
@ziyad888 I would like to refer to your first question "people aren't complaining about the game". Are you telling me you have heard no criticism of CoD at all in your life? If so, you must be very sheltered. Secondly, I refer to the statement you made regarding the people who considered the price a bit steep. That?s because it is steep. A shortened campaign, a new spec ops mode and tweaks to the multiplayer are the kind of things that should be released as DLC. Now for your last question, "why the hell should Activision sell it for less knowing that the game will sell like hot cake at $60?? Well you're right that it makes great business sense and if I wanted an extra solid gold Rolls Royce then I probably would make that decision to continue CoD as normal. The thing is, though, the reason I want this to happen is because it would be nice. It really would be nice to pay for a CoD game that's the price of a significant DLC pack. I would also say that perhaps more will be sold as a result of this gesture of good faith from Activision (and the lowered price of course).
user score 6.7 i bet on 10000000000000 dollars they all from bf3 haters...look guys this game rocks best shooter on vga i dont care wat gamespot say ...the campaign is awesomeeeeeeeeeee like amovie i really enjoyed it ....just let the haters hate .thats wat i can say
Killzone 2 licks this :) Arguably the best fps shooter this gen. All-time classic.
Release a PC Version free for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
@josh7845 people who have problem paying the 60 bucks are the people who can NOT PAY the damn $60 or aren't convince that the game is worth the launch tag price. and come on, why the hell should Activision sell it for less knowing that the game will sell like hot cake at $60?
i dont think its fair everyone is dogin mw3 just because it didnt change a lot. mw3 dont need to fix something that isnt broken at all. i say bf3 and mw3 are pretty decent in there own ways
not only this i have played all the parts of COD
i completed this game... it's damn awsum
@Payasoplas At least they're not as evil as EA.
@ziyad888 Why? Because it isn't worth 60 dollars. It's just an extra 4-5 hour addition to the campaign storyline, an extra game mode (Spec Ops) and a few tweaks to the multiplayer. This is what one would expect from episodic gaming. Also, I must add that people may still buy it every year but that doesn't neccesarily mean that they like paying that amount for it.You may not have a problem but other people do and you can't assume that everyone shares your opinion. Nice profile pic by the way :).
@josh7845 why? people aren't complaining about the game and pay their annually $60 with joy.
@josh7845 Episodic gaming is for CoD is a great Idea, unfortunately Activision is too greedy to do that...
Campagin - Pretty good but also painfully short. Spec Ops - Fun with a friend. Multiplayer - Not a lot changed. I think Activision, Infinity Ward and Treyarch should take a page out of Valve's book and try the episodic gaming thing. Shorter chunks for smaller prices released more frequently. We know that they can meet a deadline without fail so why not? It would also mean that the millions of people who buy it every year won't have to shell out 60 dollars.
