My take on the MW3 game, REVISED

User Rating: 9 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PC
Firstly, MW2 scored 9.5, so saying 9.0 is not overrated. Second, dont think about BF3 vs MW3 while reading this, you will get it all wrong

Graphics- Nothing special, the idTech engine(IW3 engine) is pretty much mediocre now a days in terms of graphics. I mean how can it compare to X-ray/Crytek/A4/Frostbite engine?Simplicity is the answer, and nothing is too bad if the game chooses to be hardware friendly rather than letting you buy ridiculous hardware just to smooth edges. The main point of CoD is gameplay, never was graphics. The detailing in the guns however is still surprisingly good and the maps have been made bigger since MW2. One problem in the PC version is the difficulty of running extra detail settings, which eats your processor despite CoD being considered low-end in terms of graphics, a graphical bug which is annoying.. Adding to that MW3 maintains its graphical potential by staying 60FPS, this for me is an important variable for console gaming(smooth all the way), but PC users deserve alot more.

Gameplay- CoD has an awesome (but sadly short) campaign,as always. Basically CoD (well CoD 4 that is) has formulated THE perfect formula for MP gameplay, always addicting, to some annoying. Despite it being an OLD, REHASHED game I would like to replay CoD 4 over and over again, but with added features, thus CoD MW3 comes into play. The problem with the multiplayer is the fact that they added new features yet forgot to polish them. What makes the MP enjoyable though is the survival and new spec ops maps, which is for me...extremely entartaining.

Sound- Not impressive, though something you wont mind anyway

The game is ALWAYS epic, there is never a dull moment in CoD(all that for the SP, survival and spec ops, MP is rather meh). This is a good game to end the MW franchise, and I cant stop playing survival mode O.o
