Simply put, your better off getting something else...
The Bad:Dated graphics. 4 hour campaign. Recycled and repetitive gameplay. multiplayer maps are terrible. glitchy/laggy matches.
As we all know, franchises sometimes need to end before it goes stail, or, at the very least, add in new features and improve certain aspects. MW3 however is just a poor attempt to steal cash from all of the call of duty lovers (itll happen anyway...)
MW3 continues right were MW2 ended. Basically its a continued hunt after makarov. Although its a decent story, all the thrills and shockers are pretty much expected since weve been so used to them over the years. (The helicopter almost crashes, you fall off a building, you wake up in the middle of chaos...SNORE)
It wouldnt be a big deal if the game was fun, unfortunatley it dies after the 1st hour or even the very minute you start is youve been a call of duty fanatic. theres hardly any variety asides from occasional vehicle sequences. Otherwise, your just running, shooting, and covering from point A to Z... through almost EVERY level in the game. Also even if you were having fun with the campaign, its over in 4 hours on the regular difficulty..like usual.
Multiplayer is back and its such a successful...failure. Yes, its the typical, shoot faster then the dumbass at the other side and win with somewhat diffierent weapons (altered mw2 guns should i say)although im pretty sure people were atleast expecting decent maps...well they are terrible. Especially Dome (MW3s version of nuketown) were its practicly a spawn kill fest...
And have i told you how broken and sometimes unplayable the multiplayer is? the same glitches from black ops and previous entries return plus some new ones. add that with noob tubes,and whiney kids, and you get 1 terrible online experience!
Now where some of the replay value lays is in spec ops, returning with missions and an all new survival.
Surviving hordes of enemies with friends is kinda awesome and spec ops missions have some actual variety unlike the campaign. unfortunatley they dont last long enough to even make the game buyable.
As for the graphics...the game looks UGLY. why? because its the same engine thats been used sinces 2007's call of duty 4 modern warfare. Its a damn shame that infiniti ward didnt even bother making the game look decent. They just throw in the same crappy engine and expect people to like it. really the only decent thing about it is that it runs at 60 FPS. otherwise dont even bother camparing it to EA's Battlefield 3 (good game by the way)
Atleast the game sounds good, gunfires explosions and etc sound epic especially if you had a surround system. the music however sounds half assed
Call of duty MW3 is the best example of how hype can make a game seem awesome. Trust me, this isnt anything remotley awesome. if you want a decent shooter, play Battlefield 3. its definetly better then wasting more money on a crudfest like this.
