I'm wondering what people on here would consider to be a good SPM. I've never really put too much thought into the stat. I myself consider a KDR over 1.5 to be good and 2.0 to be great, and a positive WLR to be good, but I have no idea what to think of SPM.

I asked this question a few weeks ago and got no reply

. Hopefully you'll have better luck. It seems like we have very similar viewpoints on K/D and W/L ratios as well.

There is no way for me to check spm in this game besides going into the elite app but i think anything above 200 is decent.

I think it depends on what game mode you're playing. I have probably seen under 10 people who I believe could have managed 3 kills per minute in TDM on average. With a good K/D as well of course.

Where do you see this stat! Some guy on here told me it was on a tab in Recent Games but I couldn't find it.
My clan page says I have a SPM of 293 (which is far higher than others with hgher K/D in the clan). Would that SPM be overall or just for the time in the clan?

Elite has a new leaderboard tracker that shows your SPM in each game mode now, and to check your overall SPM just look at someone else's profile and hit compare in the top right corner
Hope this helps

That would be dependant on playstyle. A sniper would have a naturally lower SPM than a flanker or rusher.

I know I'd rather have an additional rusher/bomb planter/defuser/flag capturer/defender on my team than a sniper who sits in the back and picks off people.
And I still don't know what to consider a good SPM. Based on some friends and people I've partied with, I'd assume anything over 250 to be good, and 300 to be great, but I'm not sure.

depends on game mode. Honestly saying that the way you play can justify a low SPM is stupid, if you have below 200 you are just not doing enough...that said, it also depends on the mode and KD. If you have a crap KD, by that I mean like 0.6 and stuff and have over 250 SPM, then you are still a bad player, and just feeding the enemy kilstreaks and getting quick kills at the same time. Of course it works the other way too, if you have a high KD and a low SPM, then you probably aren't getting enough kills...
By mode I mean that I have 360 in TDM, 255 in DOM, 300 in KC and 500+ in demolition, lol...idk, I think in general going over 250 is good, 300+ is great, and below 200 = bad, but again it differs for the mode. My overall SPM is 315ish and my KD is 3.17

I can see that when I do compare with someone, I see my overall SPM is 347, but I think to find SPM per gamemode I'd have to do some math.

they changed elite just recently (i have no idea when, but its changed now) and you can see ur SPM for every game mode. What I said before stands pretty well
top 10 players from each game mode, as you can imagine most of these players would have pretty good SPMs
TDM: 289-508
DOM: 247-397 DEM: 404-983 (yeah lmao, 4 in the top 10 have above 820 SPM)
KC: 260-617 (probably a booster, cant say for sure, the next highest after the 617 is 3 or so around 450ish mark, and even on the next 10 or so pages no one else has above 500 SPM)
Apr 11, 2012 8:25 pm GMT
250+ is good.
And yea, playstyle doesn't matter. If you camp then you'll have a lower one and will be a crappy player that doesn't contribute anything. I can snipe and still get top 3 in my team, and I'm just an average sniper that pushes forward.

This is what I did.
Dunno how good the internet browser in the PS3 is tho (assuming that's what you mean, you can't check it in the game).

Depends on the objective really. And map size. unfortunately MW3 map sizes mitigate the usefulness of a sniper providing overwatch on the obective.
