Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Robert Bowling Interview (Xbox 360)

MW3 will have Task Force 141 Captain John "Soap" MacTavish and SAS Captain John Price play a vital role in the game. All the singleplayer elements in MW3 like weapons and such will be upgraded; they showed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 mission "Mind the Gap" where the SAS operatives are carrying new perks and such.

If you look very closely on the flag runner vid. when he throws the knife. The knife icon on his hud disappears. So what this means is that the knife that you run around and stab ppl with is gone until you respawn wen you throw it. Thank god for that

bossfi - reason 3 is no problem. they fixed that problem. In the very first trailer released dubbed "flag runner" if you would have taken the time to look at it all the way to the end you will see that there are throwing knives AND that they fixed the host problem where if the host leaves everybodys game gets interrupted. Now instead of that a new host will be chosen with only a moment of delay. Also in todays world internet speeds are fast enough to deal with it lmfao although dedicated servers are supreme to host pc. If you have lag with host pc its usually because the host him/herself is in nigeria playing in a tree compared to you in your apartment/house with blazing fast speeds and comfy ass couch.

* NO DEDICATED SERVER = 1) If the random host pc is not fast enough it will cause lag for everybody! 2) If the random host has a poor internet connection it will cause lag for everybody! 3) If the host decides to leave the game, everyones game also closes! That's 3 important reasons why this isnt worth playing multiplayer!!

Such an amoral game would be made by such an ignorant designer.

Look it's simple if IW wants 140,000 more sales make a dedicated server patch ASAP. Once the dedicated server version is ready I've got cash for my copy.

@lightning 903 not the end of the world indeed.. the end of the PC community? perhaps. Dedicated servers are probably the biggest factor in making the community for any PC FPS work without dedi servers no third party mods which are not only fun but some are essential for competitive play. Community created mods on the PC have made what this game is today, look at mods like extreme mod on COD4 some of the features in this mod have been taken and put directly into modern warfare 2 the tactical nuke for 25k streak for instance. Also with no dedicated servers you get the problem you have on consoles were the host of any given game has 0 ping on PC in particular this a massive advantage for host players. for a casual player sure you probably wont even notice or care, but for skill players, modders, map makers, and competitive gamers across the PC platform this is a stab in the back. if your any of these you might as well pass on this one. In the end its really just a move by Infinity Ward to control PC content via IWnet for more $ plain and simple.

@ cjasko94 sorry. but I'm gonna have to agree with nanoshushi on this one. CoD has always been great at creating the best FPS of their time, everytime. MGO runs a close second though...if it were a FPS instead of TPS of course. :D

Man you PC gamers are complaining so much. IW has done a great job with this game and has listened to the community. So what dedicated servers are gone im still getting it and still playing multiplayer(I am getting the PC version to). Plus you pc gamers need to know its not the end of the world lol. Life goes on, and dont judge the game just yet i mean really just go buy it or wait after the game is out and check it out with some of your friends. Don't judge games that aren't even out yet. But i know one thing im pulling some all nighters. Am i right guys?

I hope after this game it stays with the Modern Warfare game plan and not go back to WWII.

the fact that there are no dedi servers doesnt "ruin" the multiplayer, ultimately the quality of multiplayer will come down to gameplay, same as any other game ever created, and this looks to have amazing gameplay

This guy kept talking about "listening to feedback from the community" but they're obviously not going to on multiplayer for PC.

No dedi servers was not a buzzkill for me. What did kill this game for me was the fact it's 16 players max in multiplayer. Terrible.

The "Night Vision Goggles" that are included with the Collector's addition are NOT real NVGs. It is a infra-red camera with some infra-red LEDs on it. If you were to have two and looked at each other you would light up like a Christmas tree.

There are over 140K people who have petitioned against the fact that there are no dedicated servers. They are important for the development of clans and offer great additions like user created maps. This is one of the main features that has made COD4 so great for multiplayer. I will be picking this up regardless, but I hope they change it.

For one they really think about the COD Series! At last this game has quality! I'll get this one!

Things to do after you get mw2: 1. Go home as quikly as possible. 2. shove the game in your xbox360/ps3/PC. 3. when you get to the main menu, go straight to single player campaign. (im not saying single player is better.) 4. once you beet the single player campaign, go to multiplayer. 5. Play multiplayer non-stop all night. 6. call of sick from work that day.
