ATI Eyefinity 6 Monitor Demo

I can't believe how many people fail to understand the concept of Eyefinity. It's not about linking your monitors to make the picture bigger it's about more pixels. More pixels = more viewable area. Buying a larger TV for the most part just stretches the image it does not actually increase it like Eyefinity does. I was happy with my 32" @ 1366x768 (540p) until I tried Eyefinity. I am using (3) 19's non widescreen pieces of crap and the image is still breathtaking. My 32" now just collects dust. Driving games especially are awesome as now I can see outside the drivers and passenger side windows.

stupid, too expensive, too big, bezels look like crap.

looks nice but who the hell is going to be able to afford 6 monitors or even want that many?

mann.. how ppl like to use more than one moniter???(personal opinion) those borders between moniters take away all fun.....

why not using big monitor it is batter?

Its like an SLI for monitors really, if multi-monitor setups become even more popular, companies might make some monitors (or system of monitors) specifically for for these kinds of setups. Im thinking of detachable bezels; but then again, you can always take the bezels off with a screwdriver.

Just give me a 24 inch monitor and I'm good. Its not that serious!

That's definately not for me. 3 monitors is better than 6 in my opinion.

Granted there's black lines between the monitors, but once you go multi-monitor is absolutely frustrating to go back to a single one again.

Silliness. When you zoom in on a FPS your reticle is RIGHT in that damned seam. No thanks.

Mehh...I'd rather get one big monitor then 6. The way they have it set up it's like looking at a puzzle....those gaps between the monitors are just too annoying. No thanks...

by the dudes the idea with putting more than one monitor on isnt to put them in on place..... you can do a lot of good stuff with a lot of monitor for e.g. you can make a circle around your face of monitors and that wouldnt be bad

I've played Grid at a computer store around the corner on a 3 monitor setup and it's pretty nice. The 3 monitor set up makes a lot more sense than 6.

Um, so why would I even want six monitors? I wouldn't want it to play games, anyway.

A 40" TV only has 1920 x 1080 resolution while this eyefinity 6 has 5760x3240. So essentially you will see more when using 6 monitors. But it's not like I would want to use 6 screens. I don't know who would really need this.

Yeah, why spend money on 6 monitors when you can just by a singe 40" TV, plug your pc whit a HDMI and play anything on a 1080p and 1920x1080 resolution. LoL

Do games have to be made to support dual monitor setups, or is it all done by the GPU?

It's now up to hardware manufacturers to create a borderless monitor or one that is bordered by clear glass for this technology to really take off. Right now this technology is more suited for watching multiple tv channels at once like in Back to the Future 2, for watching multiple security cameras, or for teleconference. Doesn't make much sense for gaming. Three monitor setups are better suited for games where the lateral monitors are for peripheral vision which provides a huge advantage in fps and racing and also creates better immersion as well.

I think they've got a little work to do before this can be taken too seriously as a gaming rig. The borders are just too much to be ignored. It would be totally nuts if they hooked up six 1080p projectors like this because there would be no borders and the image could be as big as you want it practically.

Well that seems like a waste of money and electricity when you can just by a nice big flat screen Monitor.

Looks good in a racing game but in shooters I don;t think it works very well. Still nice show

seriously! if you play like that, that just ruins everything with that Break in your screen,,, who can shoot with thier crosshairs completly overlapped!
