If you've played a Call of Duty game before you know to expect a well rounded package of singleplayer and multiplayer components. Unfortunately, MW2 breaks this trend in the multiplayer department.

While numerous improvements have been made, the sad truth is these improvements are overshadowed by glitchy connection issues. Lag is daily, and almost every game will probably lag as players are finding ways to manipulate the network to become a host and therefore gain zero-latency advantage(only a problem on P2P multiplayer networks, which Infinity Ward thought smart to implement).

While VAC breathes scary warnings of lifetime bannings down your neck, dozens of speedhackers and aimbotters will enjoy tearing you to shreds on the failed multiplayer network.

There is a good, no, great, no, excellent game buried under layers of problems in MW2.

I will make a list of what IW must patch in this game in order for me to even consider their next game:
-Let me join my friends. Why is there a party system if it doesn't work? Unbelievable
-Bring back dedicated servers, at least as an option. I'm tired of dialup hosts ruining a whole game room, and this would eliminate cheaters and unsportsmanlike behavior. Most problems in the game stem from this missing, vital PC feature.
-Allow mods. Want people to play your game? They want new, free content to keep them going. Let the community create and disperse content without any effort on your greedy corporate part, IW.
