COD has lost it's appeal
Singlplayer- Ugh...It's seems to be all about the graphics and not the gameplay anymore. No lean...That just shows you they are appealing to the masses with flash and worse gameplay. The missions are more like staged movie scenes and not actual challenge that test your skills. Levels are more annoying then fun. Walk around a corner and get shot in the face or nadespamed? Getting hit constantly by hiding guys or running across fields being shot at by far off enemies? This is good gameplay? You can actually run past many of these open areas where you are just randomly being shot at. You probably prefer to do that, since most of the singleplayer is more annoying than fun or good gameplay. Also, the whole health regen thing has really taken a lot out of the singleplayer experience in my opinion. Nothing special to see here, unless you're some kind of junkie for modern warfare cinematic stuff. The spec ops coop mode is intriguing, but you can't even browse to find players for that, so it really hampers actually playing it.
Multiplayer-Popular, but very average. It was done better in CODMW1 then here. Smaller maps, low player limit and random matches with no server browser. It's fun enough to pass some time, but like I said, very average. Killstreaks galore don't ad to fun either. Do you like being constantly killed by rockets, choppers, planes, etc..etc? It's just way too much. The gameplay also suffers from no lean, certain ridiculous perks and it's hard to find games that aren't TDM these days.
Conclusion-If twitch team deathmatch, big explosions and modern warfare appeals to you, get the game. If you prefer to things like lean, something other then team deathmatch, sp that will test your skills rather than show you a movie, or something different from modern war, look elsewhere. Activision is just churning this stuff out now with MW3 coming out. There's other stuff out there better and more interesting than this, but the masses will likely stick with the well known name brand and the big cinematic explosions.....unfortunately.
