(Written back in 2009 when I was 13, decided to still keep it up just for the giggles and the cringeworthy spelling).
Call of Duty... Who dosn't know what that is ? Its probebly the one of the biggest game in the world right now. I really don't think it deserves the 1# rank in multiplayer. It feels like Infinity Ward hasn't cared about the game as much as they did with Call of duty 4. Even if this game would suck, It would probebly be the worlds most reserved game. Just because of Call of Duty 4... Well, Lets not talk about the lacks of this game. Singleplayer is REALLY good the first time you playing it, But it is very short, and that's a big failure. I think i completed the game on Hardened (Hard) in like 7 hours. And on Veteran (Expert) on like 4 hours. But i have completed Call of Duty 4 on veteran so im pretty used to the difficulty. But it has some really unforgettable moments that you will love! The graphics has been updated alot. But i must admit that Call of Duty: World at War has better graphics. That was one of the things i noticed as soon i first played Modern Warfare 2. It feels like Treyarch (Creators of Call of Duty: World at War) has put more time on the graphics. I dont know why they just cooperate to make Modern Warfare 2 a even better game and also a very detailed game. It feels like Infinity Ward and Treyarch are compete about the Call of Duty Franchise. Now to the Multiplayer. The multiplayer is awesome the first 3 weeks, Untill you are getting really annoyed on the campers! 8 / 10 players is just sitting in corners and just waiting..., and waiting... That really maked me unsatisfied. Im glad Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is coming out. I really need to take a break from Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer. That's a big minus with the Multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 2's Rank System is still the same from Call of Duty 4, Besides that instead that you get 10+ per kill its 100+, So if you had to make 5000+ XP in a level Call of Duty 4. Its 50000+ XP now in Modern Warfare 2. The multiplayer also contain bonuses that you can earn by for example killing an enemy with a pretty high killstreak, That bonus is called "Buzz-kill". Its plenty more of those bonuses. But the big new thing to the Multiplayer is Title and Emblems. You can achieve extra titles and emblems by enter prestige. (By getting maxraxed to level 70, You have a choice to enter prestige, It will make you start it all over again, but you will achieve extra title and emblems if you do enter prestige.) Titles and Emblems will make you still enjoy the multiplayer if you are 10th prestige. (Prestige 10 times.) Modern Warfare 2 also contains a co-op mode that is called "Spec-ops". In Spec-Ops you can play solo or either play with a friend (I strongly recommend to play with a serious friend for maximum feeling and fun.) Spec-Ops contains a plenty of chapters and each chapters contains 4-5 maps.
Alpha - The easyest missions.
Bravo - A mix of Easy and Normal missions.
Charlie - A mix of Normal and Hard missions.
Delta - The Hard missions.
Echo - The Expert missions.
If you complete a mission on the Normal difficulty you will achieve 1 star.
If you complete a mission on the Hard difficulty you will achieve 2 stars.
If you complete a mission on the Veteran difficulty you will achieve 3 stars (Maximum)
Maximum stars to achieve in Spec-Ops is 69 stars (Unlocks Achievment if you succes!)
Spec-Ops is perfect to play if you are getting frustrated at the Multiplayer or if you are maxprestiged in Multiplayer.
Gameplay: 8.0 - Singleplayer is awesome, but it is way to short. Multiplayer gameplay is fun at beggining, Until you're getting REALLY frustrated. Gameplay would easy achieve 10 if it wasn't that short Singleplayer and frustrating Multiplayer.
Graphics: 7.0 - Could have been alot better in my opinion.
Sound: 8.5 - Good music in Singleplayer is really making you feeling that you are the in-game player! !
Value: 7 - Due to the short campain and the frustrating multiplayer, It achieves a pretty medicore score.
Final Score: 7.5 - A really great game the no one should miss!
