Its fun, until you get online, then its just same old same old....
Very very atmospheric and often found my whole body tensed up trying to run across an open road or get my head out of sight of the nicely accurate AI.
Now..... the Multiplayer.....
Quite simply its broken.
They have added perks into the multiplayer enabling you to run near non stop and on TOP of that you can run like a cheetah. Basically you will simply knife everyone before they can either 1: track and shoot you and 2: get the gun up fast enough.
If THIS doesnt annoy you then the amazing amount of "Noobtubers" is hysterical (underslung grenade launchers). There is no skill needed anymore in the Multiplayer. Its now simply campers with grenade launchers. The maps are far far too small for the perks and weapons they have applied. Beautifully detailed, I will give them that, but far far too small.
I personally like to play a game where I feel like I have DONE something and achieved something not shot a guy in the foot (yes they will die just as easily if you shoot in the foot as in the chest lol) then another in the leg and *boom* M40 grenade in ya face....... again..... and again...... It honestly isnt even intense after a while. I often came off the game annoyed, and thats not why I play a game.
For all those thinking im just getting "owned" far from it, my kill count was norm 2x my death but there was no satisfaction and I found myself bored clocking up kill counts by being a boring camper (which is pretty much your only option on how to play this)
Lets also not forget the dual shotgun option. You can use 2 shotguns at once and clear a room in 0.5 secs. Where someone has a SMG for example and have to put 2-3 (lol3?!?!?) rounds into you, you can spray an entire room in 1/4 that time. Another completely broken aspect.
With the upcoming Bad Company 2 (if you havent DLd the demo for this Multiplayer map yet DO IT NOW, its incredible) and the recent release of MAG I think IW may need to start thinking about making things co-op encouraging instead of the 13yr old fanboy fragfest this once great series has become.
Final Verdict, great single player and very intense, Multiplayer is run shoot shoot die over and overrrrr again. Have just put the game up on Ebay as I feel it can no longer offer me anything. What amuses me most is how much i'll enjoy the fanboys rating this down. Cynical I know...... but this REALLY isn't the BEST GAME EVVAAAAAAA.
