Modern Warfare 2 did not surpass, nor even live up to, the first.

Due to the horrendous multiplayer, this game loses some major points right off the bat. If I wanted a laggy, console experience, I would have just played this on the 360. At least then it would be acceptable as that's what I expect from console multiplayer.

The single player campaign isn't spectacular either. I much preferred the original game's campaign. It was actually fun, and challenging for the right reasons. This game's campaign was challenging at some points, but purely from the sheer amounts of enemies you face some times. I think they confused a true "challenge" with annoying. It's not fun when you're engaging 10+ enemies in front of you just be attacked from behind by enemies you've already killed.
Also, the length of the campaign was very short; I'm not sure I'm even disappointed about though.

Spec Ops mode was supposed to be the savior of this game. It wasn't. The majority of the spec ops levels are taken directly from the campaign. Slap a time limit on a campaign mission and slightly modify it, and you've got spec ops. Very few levels are noticeably different.

Lastly, let's talk about the in game options. Firstly, there's no options menu from the main screen. No, you have to start a campaign game before you can change anything. The menus are pretty lame, and seem dumbed down from most PC games. The in game controls are acceptable, and are the standard PC FPS controls.

Bottom Line:
All PC players should absolutely skip this title. The graphics got a tiny update, but that was the only real positive, everything else either showed no improvement, or actually got worse. I didn't even want touch this game with a 10 foot pole. I played the full campaign at a friends house.
