Sit Rep Pro allows me to hear enemy footsteps dramatically and allows me to see ANY explosive through walls. I refuse to wear Ninja Pro for modes like Demolition, Sabotage, or TDM. 80% of the players I've played against online DO NOT wear Ninja Pro when playing modes like those modes, so wearing Sit Rep Pro is an advantage to me. Why should I sacrafice Sit Rep Pro for Ninja Pro? All I do is camp for killstreaks in those modes anyways. How is someone going to soundwhore me when I camp with claymores while in crouch? You can argue I can't hear Ninja users, however I'll have my claymores and C4 waiting.

For those who spend $200 on a headset; you can soundwhore most kids in any mode that isn't SnD, so why wear Ninja Pro when you can counter them by soundwhoring anyways? Makes no sense to me. You can wear Sit Rep Pro and still benefit.

I ALWAYS have Ninja Pro on my class when playing SnD, especially for competetive events like Gamebattles. It's simple; I cannot get soundwhored. So in my opinion, Ninja Pro is worthless for anything but SnD. I'll stick with Sit Rep Pro when not playing SnD, thanks.

It all depends on what mode you're playing, and how you play it.

Sitrep is overkill on normal footsteps and isn't worth it, especially if you have a headset.
Ninja is always better, there's no argument about it.. stop being bad. That goes for everyone else too. There's a reason why TC's stat's >> yours, and isn't because he "camps".

I'm bad because I don't want to spend money on a headset, or because I camp? You'd be surprised.

Besides, Sit Rep Pro is free, unlike headsets

The majority of players do not have headsets, or even listen for footsteps at all. In more hectic playlists like Demo or Ground War, it's much much easier to "soundwhore" with Sitrep than Ninja, especially without a headset. Of course, the majority of players also don't have Sitrep Pro, but still. Even regualr Sitrep is more useful for most people, and in most cases.

Ninja is the best Perk 3 if you have a headset, play Team Tac or SnD, and especially if you play with a party. In nearly all other case though, it's unnecessary, and the average would benefit more from another perk.

Nothing good can ever come from staying with normal people.

Overall, a good guide. I personally wouldn't have bothered putting in info about a scavenger explosive class, and I think he could have said more about non DC OMA classes, but using OMA effectively beyond grenade launching is one of the more complicated things in the game and too advanced for his target audience, noobs looking to get better.

Only complaint, why all the hate to the TM- nevermind.

But seriously a proper riot shield class is DEVASTATING! A RiotShield/Akimbo Handguns/Stun/ThrowingKnife/MLC is just amazing with some training. And a Shield/LauncherORAkimboHandguns/Stun/C4ORClaymore/ScavengerOROMAORMarathon/DangerClose/FreeChoice is just amazing.

Wow this was a worthless post but it is valid. I've had many Ground War TDM game(well all TDM hoppers actually) with the former class and have gone positive around 5-15. Sorry for the mini-rant.

Otherwise a very good topic and congrats on the first (and probably last) sticky on the MW2 board.
