@thisisburito Well, you're right about that, I really should leave. But I think I'm still here for the same reason I have my military dedicated channel on youtube. All I do in the internet seems futile or "hobby stuff", but actually I always try to engage in good discussions, without trolling, I try to talk to people to see how damaged is the society. On the youtube channel, the case is, people likes to choose two sides, the pro war side and the anti-USA side, but no one can see the disarming process of the good population going on, or the hatred nurtured by the UN to make all the world kill each other, in resume, the NWO. So, as I like to stay there on youtube, and lose my time trying to talk to people, I do the same here. Although, I like to watch gameplay videos before I buy a new game.

rayzOr_R57 Posted Sep 6, 2011 8:08 am GMT I would like for one day to have BF3 and CoD fanboys on one page... I mean come on, this is outrageous! Just because someone likes arcadeshooters and quick action more than a realistic game and tactics or the other way around, does that mean we have to get angry at one another for having our own preferences? Let's get this straight I play CoD, but that doesn't mean I'm not saying that BF3 will be awesome, I mean the graphics for that game look way sick! Anyone to say different is just mentally challenged... But CoD: MW3 got some nice modes aswell! I guess what I'm saying is that I would like for BF3 players to be more open to CoD and for CoD players to be more open to BF3... One of the best comments i've ever read on the COD/BF3 subject. Very well said.
@dalua360 (with sarcasm) I don't know, but is it just me or does it seem just a tiny bit stupid for you to be hating on gamespot when you are an active member of the site and most likely use it regularly. I mean its totally makes sense that you hate this site yet you write comments on it and watch videos/read articles about games on it. Just sayin.
If we lived in Activision's pockets why would it be that MW games usually score lower than BF games? BF: Bad Company 2= 9.0 BF: 1942:= 8.8 BF: Vietnam= 8.5 BF: 2142= 8.1 BF:2.= 9.3 Avg 8.7 COD: Black Ops= 9 COD: MW2= 8.5 COD: World at war:= 8.5 COD 3= 8.2 COD 4:MW= 9.0 8.6 Looks like they're about neck and neck to me.
@JodyR First, I said "former", after I got married in 2009 I chose to stay near my family. Second, This isn't about Call of Duty, this is about a Website that is loved by millions of people, and your obligation is to show the "pros" and "cons" about all games, being impartial, and say some truths even to important developers like IW and publishers like Activision. All I see now, is a bunch of false journalists selling MW3 and supporting people that likes to troll about the competitor. That's not impartial, and this is shameful because you guys could help the Game Industry to make only improved games, but, doing what you're all doing, people will hear from Gamespot something like: "MW3 is great" and then they will buy the game, and IW will say: "Haha, getting richer without a sweat!". What I mean is, you guys didn't even have the balls to at least repeat what hundreds of GS users already said here in the comments, which is that MW3 has bad graphics and no innovative stuff IN PROPORTION to what COD series SHOULD be! When GS reviews a sequel, you always take in consideration how big the previous game was, and this is a difficult baseline to surpass, but when it's about MW you guys just seem a bunch of blind sold hypocrites. PS: it's good to know that some military guys are helping, because we had video games abroad to help us relax, and I'm thankful for that. It's essential to any military game to have military consultancy. oh, and third thing is, you sound like a kid trying to provoke me with that "not being shipped out with the crew that attended". You're not getting anywhere with that! Do you know how many people US have in the military? Just to let you know, we have 5 branches, so, if I was in the Marines and it was the Army(for example) that attended the event, why would I be jealous?
Hey @dalua360 - You continue to share that you're a military dude, yet hundreds of them attended the event to help out. All of your negative comments sound like it's less about call of duty, and more about you not being shipped out with the crew that attended. You should make sure you're on the list for the next round of events because I'm sure this kind of event will be made by other publishers in the future
BF3 is a must play on pc but if ya cannot afford then on console is ok. COD is fairly standard and is fine in console. No need to fork out for pc on COD. I wouldn't upgrade pc either to play COD. No need to play COD on pc. After experiencing BFBC2 and BF3 Alpha on pc and having rented BFBC2 for PS3, I can only say I now have a new pc ready for BF3. Can't wait:) Snowmobiles are not accessible in most of COD. BFBC2 &BF3=ATV's, tanks, jeeps, choppers, frikkin' UAV's, APC and soon, JETS!!! Rockin' in the free world. Will be getting BF3 on release ofc and COD next year when the price drops to what an expansion is worth(not $60 bones). Oh, did I mention the BF3 gear for the different classes? Ya gonna love it:)
@GAMESPOT You are a WHORE, who pays you the most gain the best support no matter if it's a good game or not, and now that you aren't impartial, far from that, you are a whore, you let those guys troll about Battlefield giving total support to something so unethical to show in here! All the rotten politicians are no different than YOU Gamespot!
02:15 Dude asking where are the BF players... answer: They are playing a game which doesn't need to pay 1$ million to be liked ! that's it ! You said "live action" HAAHHAHAHAAHAHA I'm hysterical now HAHAHAAHAH... Really??? Have you ever used a gun in your whole life? Don't bother I know the answer! @ snowmobile guy : Can you use a snowmobile any time you want in the game? NO, so shut up ! This is coming from a former military guy.
imagine gaming being taken as seriously as sports ... it would definitely be the end of decent games
BF3, MW3, BF3, MW3, BF3, MW3, BF3, MW3, blah blah blah! I've pre-ordered both 'cause they're both going to be fun fraggin!
@Gelugon_baat wth are you talking about? DICE isn't going to screw things up like activision. they've always offered quality dlc that felt like another game for the same price as 4 maps that included 2 recycled ones. dice has already announced what they plan to release for the dlc and its clearly no rip off compared to what activision is going to offer.
BF3, MF3 fans called you out, whats up, whats up with that! ahh he want 's to bond, that's funny, give me a hell ya!!!
well if you think about it, CoD can do these sort of events, cos to be honest people can get seriously hurt with tanks involved, and a building coming down on your head will surely give you a massive headache!
So, the Battlefield part of the headline was the interview with a couple of inbred rednecks, or am I missing something? It's quite obvious in what pocket Gamespot lives in ...
I say lets wait for the two game to come out and see who sell out who and who will get the highest rate, i think no point in deciding the winner now since both games not out yet lets wait and see who will win this war :)
If you cant make the better game just buy the rednecks with a theme park event,Yeah you know what im talking about.
@krishnaV_: There's nothing wrong with the attention though. Who cares if CoD has an event dedicated to itself? If EA hosted an event for Battlefield, I'm sure these Battlefield wannabes will immediately become hypocrites. They're wannabes because most of the kids jumping at MW3 articles and vids have either only played BC2 and are planning to get BF3 on consoles (which is going to be garbage compared to PC), or they just got their butts handed to them in MW2. They're all treating this thing as if Activision touched them inappropriately as kids and EA came and saved the day with their own shooter.
@GamerBaboo I don't care about the price. Gaming is really cheap anyway (compared to fishing or going out clubbing? lol). Perks are fun. Realistic gameplay? Comon... Do you really want THAT? I like both games, though. And I absolutely agree on the game modes issue of BF. If they fix it... make it more rewarding... it could turn out to be a great game. BFBC2 just wasn't rewarding enough in it's leveling up or winning a game round. It's almost never a close finish in a round and you never feel you made a real difference with a few nice actions. COD does a better job on this. Hope both games learn from each other. Be a fan of gaming, not one franchise.
@SirOlf30 actually it's because BF focuses more on quality and content rather than ripping off its players with 4 map packs @ 15$ each after paying 65$ for the core game :D . MW fanboys are the ones who're too stupid to figure out the realistic gameplay of BF and like to rely on perks like marathon and steady-aim. That said I've played Mw2 to the 10th prestige and play COD:BO more than BFBC2 still, just because the rounds and modes are shorter in COD series ( no TDM in BFBC other than squad deathmatch ). I hope BF3 fixes that and MW3 fixes the friggin LAG issue.
BF fans are soooo frustrated ... Everytime something about mw3 comes out they start whining. Everyone knows MW3 is still the more popular game, though. Fans aren't irritated by BF3 as it is the other way around it seems. ;-) Most people are probably going to play both games anyway... Peace!
@theshonen8899 I've never looked at it that way... Sorry for my ignorance, but still, less ranting would be nice. :) Oh, and thanks to have informed me, glad to know.
I'm not a Battlefield/COD fanboy, but personally I liked the idea of the XP.. @namdar I agree that there doin it only to bring attention to cod while battlefield need not worry abt attention.. battlefield is any day a better experience than cod.. but the XP as such focused on a single game is a good idea..
@Nipotat Your mastery of the English language is so representative of the Call of Duty gaming population.
@rayzOr_R57 I don't speak for the rest of us but my problem with Call of Duty isn't about Battlefield rivalry, it's about Call of Duty no longer being Call of Duty. This is because almost all of the Infinity Ward staff have been fired from Activision and the people making Modern Warfare 3 are just random developers. I've watched every Modern Warfare 3 video in hopes that I'm wrong and that it'll have something redeeming about it, but every time I try I end up puking into a waste basket. These people Activision have hired after raping Infinity Ward have done nothing to try and innovate the game, and the fact that this game will probably go on to sell more than 30 million copies is revolting. If you are true Call of Duty fan, stop supporting these monsters and wait for Respawn Entertainment's new game.
I would like for one day to have BF3 and CoD fanboys on one page... I mean come on, this is outrageous! Just because someone likes arcadeshooters and quick action more than a realistic game and tactics or the other way around, does that mean we have to get angry at one another for having our own preferences? I really wish I could have gone to this event. Would have been some great fun, especially trying out MW3's MP for the first time.
@BattleOfGrace The guys they interviewed said that cod mw3 will be amazing because there is paintball in it. I dont even think it has it, I just think these guys are dumb.
Milk COD while you can Activision because when Battlefield 3 comes out, you won't have anything left to milk.
All the thumbs up on BF3 praise comments and the majority of thumbs down on MW3 comments isn't because BF3 fans lurk MW3 videos... I think the video above shows that the people WITHOUT lives are the fans above ^ It's because MOST PEOPLE aren't MW3 fans. They were most likely Infinity Ward or Treyarch fans... but at this point you're just supporting a publishing corporation that wants nothing but money. Because most people can see a bad game, or at least an inferior product, when they see it. Listen, I bought every single CoD up until BlackOps. I love CoD but I didn't like MW2 so I stopped buying. And this next installment is nothing different. The original CoD creators are all gone - kicked out by Activision. Again, you're supporting a publishing giant that has a better track record of killing games than any other publisher. Guitar Hero is one of them, now this.
When you compare all developer interviews, campaign and multiplayer gameplay, BF3 wins every single time... and they don't have to rely on bribing their fanbase with "SNOWMOBEELZ" lol. (Everyone actually knows quads are better. They're all-terrain vehicles... moron lol see what I mean?) And to you guys saying BF3 fanboys are trolling: 1, it says BF3 in the title, so they thought it was news. 2, literally, not even making fun... most people aren't going to buy MW3. And it's not because of budget like some dumb-dumb below me posted. It's because it's a rehash expansion pack at best. And now they're charging you $8 a month for stats/leaderboards. Are you guys stupid? What planet do you come from where you kiss the feet of a PUBLISHER, not even a game developer (because 90% of the original CoD creators left), and WANT a monthly subscription fee to a FPS? Just shows how money-grubbing they are to treat an FPS like an MMORPG lol.. the insanity just doesn't stop. In closing, you're just either in denial that this ONCE good franchise has been used, and is on its last legs. Or, you lack the brain power to actually compare two products side by side and figure out the best one depending on gameplay and story because of loyalist pride or w/e is clouding your judgement. Not a sausage fest nerd tournament where again, Activision stole money from dimwitted morons. It's plain as day now. This game is fail, and I don't have to be psychic to know that. After 20 years of gaming, you just know.
@krishnaV_ they are spending money on useless events to bring attention to COD , battlefield doesnt have to do that because the game sells it self!
@reuwswaat they actually corrected that and said they wouldnt take personal information and sell it. there was an article on here a week or two ago that they released with a statement.
