Escalation follows the same formula with some epic changes

User Rating: 9 | Call of Duty: Black Ops - Escalation PS3
The Good: Call of the dead, Stockpile, Convoy, Hotel ------------------------------------
The Bad: Zoo ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First strike was a disappointment for me with not many new ideas to go on - But Escalation introduces something fun and addictive that black ops has needed for a long time

Namely - (and again the shining star of the mappack) Call of the dead! with undead boss - the grandfather of all zombies - George romero! - add two new wonder weapons, a zipline, a new trap and a new perk and this is possibly the greatest call of duty zombie map ever - It's massive and introduces a new type of challenge that veteran players will struggle with - Good Job Treyarch!

Stockpile is a dreary, snowy type map that may remind you of world at war - it's cluttered and messy but still manages to be a worthy multiplayer offering - I can't say much about it, but stockpile is a nice change and will bring back a few fresh memories

Convoy is more on the lines of the first modern warfare - There's a couple of bridges, a large hole in the center of the map and a broken highway packed with cars - (good for the noob tuber) it's bright and quite simple - but is still a medium map with alot of creativity

Hotel is the second best (if not the best) Map introduced in escalation - which reminds me of bailout from MW2 - Elevators are a new touch and add camping, claymore traps and tense moments as you move up and down floors - plenty of sniping spots and indoor firefights

Zoo is the only one i'm having doubts about - I like the idea of the map itself - but it could have been presented so much better - If the animal cages were occupied then i'd rate this map so much higher - but Zoo dosen't have a personality like the others

Overall - Escalation is a huge improvement over First strike and brings back the memories of former Call of duty titles - If you loved the old formula of bright maps and a challenging zombie level - Then get escalation - You shan't be disappointed
