The biggest benefit to the keyboard is the ability to register key mashing better if you spaz on it and the mouse being high quality absolutely helps i have a deathadder from razer and man this thing is so smooth

We get product demos for the Deathstalker Ultimate, Kraken Pro and the Ouroboros in their upcoming line of gaming peripherals.
The whole "gaming" mouse and keyboard thing is an astoundingly successful scam. Yeah nice fancy designs on your cheap plastic shit. It will NOT make you better at pc games. PERIOD
Wow... I would bet that they have a division in their company that fulfills government contracts to make military hardware. This stuff is really genius, advanced and intuitive. If they haven't already, the military has to get in on those headphones lol
Razer makes awesome mice. No doubt. But as far as im concerned, steelseries makes better keyboards and astro headphones will give you a half chub.
Watching Youtube on your keyboard...lol
Kind of cool, but I absolutely HATE the chicklet keyboard design. Worst invention (for keyboards) ever!
I love the flatter keys on my Lycosa, and the rubberized finish on the keys are nice, but I'm not into that chicklet one shown. Not just because the video was lagging either because that's not something I'd use- it's just- they have better boards than that from their past, a lot of their current/future stuff isn't appealing to me (a long time Razer user). Glad my current Razer products are working fine because I wouldn't want to replace them....yet.
Asus, Gigabyte, many others = good quality + fair prices
Razer = the same good quality + insane prices
@max-hit nah, they doesn't own insane prices - only for their useless top tech gaming products - Logitech does the same on their products as well.
ATM Roccat got my attention with their unique cool features no other company did with good quality and pretty low prices
i think the problem with the keyboard isn't even that the screen is poor quality the main problem is that the screen and the buttons are on the wrong side!!!! that hand goes on the mouse im not going to just drop my mouse mid game to access any of those hotkeys
@BasiK3108 they should learn from Roccat on this feature - check out their gaming keyboards - Arvo and Isku - they've got thumbs macro keys below the space bar, perfect for gaming...
@PredatorRules Actually it's Roccat who learned from Razer. Their Anansi keyboard have 7 thumb keys below the spacebar and 5 macro keys on the left.
@BasiK3108 If they switched it to the other side, it'd push the keys over to the middle of the keyboard and the usual hotkeys would be harder to access with that left hand. Its fairly reasonable to reach over with your left hand to quickly look at something on the screen.
i don't know man i never leave my WASD position for any reason i got 1-12 in my mouse which is a naga so access all that quickly so traveling from the left side of the keyboard to the right side will make me immobile for precious seconds which is unacceptable in any action oriented game. to be honest is not a big deal but im so used to the comfort of not moving that if im going to buy and expensive keyboard i don't want it to put extra steps in my gaming rather than taking some out.
omg. a chiclet keyboard for gaming. i am so excited. seriously.
no, not seriously. i HATE chiclet keyboards, especially for gaming. i know it's preference, but i use the depth of the keys and the edges and everything. it's bad enough i have to deal with them being the standard for most laptops now (and i will be in the market for another gaming laptop in half a year or so), but now it's permeating the standard keyboard designs. blech.
totally overhyped keyboard - you can clearly see the poor quality of the touch screen, razer as well took the the mouse concept from Saitek.
Don't get me wrong - I'm currently using Razer's Black Widow, Imperator + Goliathus pad, Razer Megalodon - a full complete set by Razer.
Razer are a good peripherals company but they have had real issues with there previous products. The Lycosa Keyboard would disconnect randomly during gameplay. They did not acknowledge it for a long time that it was a manufacturing defect. I would only really buy there mouses from now on because of multiple issues as well as their awful RMA process. Owned the Razer Mako, Deathadder (best mouse ever) and Mamba
"if you're stuck in a game you can just pull out a full version of youtube on the screen"
just spend $250 to get another monitor LOL.
Or just Shift+Tab in Steam and BAM!, don't even need another monitor!
(Add all other games as non-steam to be able to use the steam overlay for all games)
I also thought chicklet keypads are the worst, in terms of life cycle and feel. Gaming keyboards should be mechanical to get the best typing experience, comfort and longevity (up to 10-20+ million key presses, compared to maybe 1 million on chicklet)
I'm still using my Razor Diamondback from like 7 years ago. Pretty damn good mouse, can take a serious beating.
My $30 Skull Candy UpRocks do the job just fine at 40mm. Why would you want a screen on a keyboard? are they trying to compete with the eh.. Wii U tablet controller? how lame.
The Deathstalker (standard version) looks decent and makes a change from the mechanical keyboard trend we've been seeing lately, since there are not many chiclet keyboards out there other than laptop keyboards, although i prefer bulging keys and an L-shaped enter key. I do not like the font for the letter keys though, they remind me of the BlackWidow.
I'm wondering how holding the mouse feels with that huge hole in the middle, seems like they were thinking 'Transformers' when they designed that. Too much effort to look cool, but does not seem practical.
The green on the headphones is way too flashy. Are you supposed to wear those on the street so you don't get hit by cars?
@Kaeniar It is like the R.A.T but for a very important area which the R.A.T failed for me as I owned a R.A.T 7 for a while. The palm bridge actually can be raised whereas Saitek mouse was quite low for me and it totally failed as a mouse. Razer have noticed it and made the correct amendments and looks to of improved and realised a very good idea from Saitek.
@Kaeniar It really does look like the rat. Though the rat is a bit more colorful and has kinda weird bits. But the gap and the adjustable stuff looks like a rat.
Cool idea on the mouse but seems kinda low quality....IDK with all the moving parts just seems like a ton of stuff that can go wrong and fail on it.....otherwise I know Razer is known for quality....
@MJ12-Conspiracy When i think about razor, i think overprice "gaming" gear. When i saw this video, i saw nothing less then gold covered crap. One thing i would never buy regardless of which brand made it is, a wireless "gaming" mouse.
@mcmistight The wireless did make me groan. Oh but you can plug it in...How does that effect the quality?
