The gun play is good, but you expected that. This is a Call of Duty game, so the gunplay will be fine. The mission are fun enough. Hence the 7.5 out of ten and not a lower score. Ok, now for the bad stuff. Now I would like to say that I am not a raging fanboy/antifanboy I have never been a huge fan of the newer COD's but I am not going to rate this a 1/10 without even playing it or anything like that. I really liked Black Ops 1's story, very entertaining, this one was much less so. To be fair, the multiplayer is not for me, some people may love it (many do) and that would bring the rating up, but I enjoy Halo and Battlefield much more for online shooters.

The game seems confused as to how far away 2025 actually is, everything has been made futuristic, as if the US decided to modernize EVERYTHING all at once, while technology would have advanced, some things stay around, not everything everywhere you look is modern now. The story as I said before is much less compelling than BO1's and the weapons are not as fun as they should be.

The game also insults mankind (wut? Ill explain) I do not believe people would rally behind someone like the villain, at least not that many, especially after his actions in the end game. People are not that stupid, (some are, but not that many) the ending falls flat because of this, and both endings piss you off.
Also you are supposed to feel sorry for this guy because his sister died, boo friggin hoo, you kill millions I dont give a crap about your sister.

This game has some cool parts, but meh, I rented it, if I bought it (which I never would, as I dont like the multiplayer) I would be very disappointed.

If you are not a COD multiplayer fan, this is maybe a rent, a somewhat disappointing one at that.
