This is a sad day for the Call of Duty series. Like Arthur Fonzarelli's infamous "Jumping the Shark", this is the beginning of the end. At first I was legitimately excited for this game. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was my very first COD game and WOAH what a way to kick off my love for the series. Then came Black Ops. After seeing what Infinity Ward could do with a war game I was losing my mind, and then I was utterly disappointed. The Treyarch takeover was nothing more than a completely negative experience for me as a gamer. Then I heard that MW3 was coming out, coupled with Call of Duty Elite and the return of Infinity Ward I was incredibly eager to play. I loved that game, the campaign, though frustrating at times, was great and I enjoyed personally killing Makarov especially after he killed my good Irish / Scottish buddy. Then I heard of this game. I thought the futuristic setting may be a new route that innovated what we would see in future war games. The first day it was out I rushed to the store, picked up my copy, slid the disc in my Xbox and again, disappointment. The campaign is alright but the multiplayer ruins it for me. Killstreaks are absolutely ABSURD. Matches aren't about winning the victor will be first to a major killstreak. Though it is not Treyarch's fault I must warn you there is an abundant amount of modders / hackers. The futuristic setting is god awful and like I said before this is the beginning of the end. Which is sad, for a series that produced one of the most iconic games to date, they need to stop pushing people to Battlefield.
