Second in a week? Count your blessings with that figure, I'd say. I've had three tonight within a four hour period, and probably about 8 within the last week. I'd guess about 13-14 total since launch. BlkOps1 did this as well, so I'm not really surprised, just frustrated. Always seems to be the Treyarch CODs that have the biggest issues on the PS3 as well.

This might sound stupid...especially since most of you probably take good care of your stuff...but...
Check the disc isn't dirty...seriously
I let my nephew play and he had to take BF3 out and put COD in...he must have had filthy hands...after that my game kept freezing constantly...cleaned the disc and haven't froze since.
Just something to look out for...hopefully this helps at least 1 person

PS3 Slim 250 GB model (Bought from BestBuy on Black Friday bundled with Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in time and LittleBigPlanet.
Game version:
Ps3 Hardened Edition of Black Ops 2 from GameStop. Installed graphics textures
Problem: Game freezes during gameplay, ie: Zombies or Multiplayer. Also includes sometimes frequent freezes while playing multiplayer at the start of a match. and unfreezes after 7 seconds.

It mainly happens whilst at the multiplayer menu or match finder. Also sometimes freezes for a few seconds and then un freezes.

Mine will sometimes freeze on me three times in a row. It always happens when the match is loading the little percentage bar will fill up and the game will just freeze. It also happens more often at night.

2 or 3 freezes where i had to restart the ps3. a 160slim model new from sony support.
also one time just a day ago i had no more sound in the game except for some announces

5 times in the last week or so, all in solo TranZit before round 7. I installed the textures and that does jack all. I also have a new 320 GB PS3, so it's not due to its old age.
