I had a nice steady k/d going till I started going for some gold guns. Then it dropped and dropped as I tried to complete various gun challenges. 5 gold guns in and my k/d took a pounding. Same thing happen to anybody else?

I just finished golding the Combat Knife, MK48, MSMC, and Remington 870 the past few nights and my K/D dropped from 2.01 to 1.99.... lol. I already have diamond launchers, and that took a huge hit on my K/D. Getting those gold was a huge pain in the ass.

I've only bothered getting 1 gold camo, and that's for the LSAT. Last time I prestiged, I also prestiged my LSAT and didnt put on any attachments or perks till it was done.
That said I had to play a slightly more... sedentary... game, but the 150 kills flew by and I didn't notice a hit to my K/d.
Will I be diamonding any guns any time soon? #$%@ No, but at least I might nab gold on the SMR next.

I started this game off horrible. .86 K/D. I now have diamond snipers, SMGs and shotguns, working on LMGs and ARs, 1.24 K/D.

Awesome guys - thanks for the feedback. My gold guns are MSMC and Mp7 (those 2 were easy), AN-94, Remington (was tough cause I probably went about it the wrong way), and DSR which was the worst because I hadn't used sniper rifles in a cod and it took a lot of getting used to.) Doing the Remington and the DSR are what killed the kdr it went from 1.98 to 1.56 (6th prestige)

So your K/D dropped .40 when you left your comfort zone. That doesn't mean you're now not capable of that 1.9 you had before. Throw on your favorite setup and gun and you're still that same player, right?
If anything, it's just going to have people in the lobby write you off a bit before the match. That isn't a bad thing.

My KD went up and I have Diamond SMGs and Shotguns. The guns I used later on to get camos on (Chicom, S12, M1216) have a higher KD than the Remingtion, MSMC, PDW.

I hate when I am forced for headshots.
I don't play that way... ever since people started dropshotting I have been aiming for knees and ankles
Another thing that ****** me off is you can't get other achievements until the headshots are completed. For example: During the AN94 gold grind I got 20 or so 10 kills without dying but they didn't count because I didn't have the 100 headshots completed yet.

They had to do it that way though because you would legitimately have all the challenges done by the time you get to 100 headshots, probably somewhere around 500 kills. that would be too easy for gold/diamond

Yeah my KDR has only been increasing slightly because I'm going for diamond shotguns/ARs/SMGs. I have shotties and SMGs with only 4 more rifles to go, now. I hate having to use all of the crap guns in the game. Whenever I switch to a setup that I fully enjoy, I start stomping people.
