the story / single player campaign of Black ops is and always will be epic, i dont think any other COD game can top off the single player black ops had, it was so fantastic!!

Ohhhh...so that's what've been playing this whole time.....because all i noticed in call of duty games is "shoot that guy...shoot this guy....and shoot that guy.....run....then repeat..." and cutscene were just times where i can take a piss and go refill on ice water....

if you view COD solely as an adrenaline action rush, and nothing more, it does a pretty good job of it, I have to admit.

CoD4 had a good storyline with believable (if somewhat unlikely) action, while MW2 turned goofy and all action-movie. Here's hoping no Transformers show up in MW3. :) And please, stop with the CoD vs. BF. They're different series, and they're both good. Fanboyism will make you go blind, you know.

Well its batter than running and jumping around on a subway train (whose brilliant idea was it any way..........give him an oscar for "almost successful wannabe action movie award"), which actually has more dramatic Cs rather than any game play.

I feel bad for pretty much every single one of you people. Bf 3 fanboys crying over an 8.5 rating and yelling about how bad CoD is... And CoD fanboys yelling about how MW 3 will blow BF 3 out of the water. If MW 3 got a 8.5 rating and I enjoy playing it, why do I care what its rating is? If MW 3 got a 7.0 rating and I enjoy it, why do I care what other people think? For Gods sake if MW 3 got a 1.0 and I enjoy playing it, why do I care what other people think? If I enjoy the game and believe it deserves a rating of 10, how does somebody else's opinion matter and how does that effect how much I enjoy it? Well the simple answer is, it doesn't. As long as im enjoying the game I spent money on and theres enough people online for me to get into a multiplayer game in less than a minute, I could care less how much other people like it.

@childe_roland Yeah, too bad the actual game didn't LOL...traded in yesterday. The multi is a prettier version of BC2, the single player no one cares about, and the co op is beatable in a very short amount of time.

This video is hilarious. It's funny because its 100% accurate. You truly couldn't make this stuff up...unless you were the crazy minds at IW. Anywho, it's too bad we'll never get the truly insane conclusion to MW since the original creators are gone. But Sledgehammer Games will probably make a much more sane MW3.

@Killer2401 hah no, you can't summarize mgs' story in five minutes, I'd like to see you try to post a comment explaining how you would do so. With all due respect, the story is much too complicated for that.

@ozziekun So don't bash battlefield, just choose the game whose gameplay you like most, be it COD's reaction based, fast paced close quarters arcade style action or battlefield's large scale, teamwork based battles that have a more "realisticness" to them (as far as video games go, of course. There's no comparison between games and war.). PS: sry for the triple post, my comment was too long and I felt it better to divide it into three to get my point across.

@ozziekun However, the story has nothing at all to do with the black ops story. Battlefield 3 is in a large scale war comparable to WW3, and black ops is set during the cold war. If you had actually read any reviews, you would know that "the story in battlefield 3 feels stale", but honestly, it's just like any other action movie. Lots of shooting, explosions, scenes where characters barely get out of trouble, scenes where they get into trouble, and lots of plot twists and deception. But I guarantee you that any other military action story you go to, be it book, movie or video game, including mw3 and all call of duty games to date, will all incorporate these elements, just because the millitary action genre is so used and writers find it hard to come up with anything new. Sure you can give people new characters and settings, but it always ends up as America vs. Russia or America vs. Terrorists or America vs. Whatever enemy the audience can dislike with lots of booms to grab your attention, and a "clever" twist to suck you back in when you think you're just about to predict the ending. Hey, I'm not bashing cod and I'm not justifying bf3's stale campaign, just saying mw3's will be just as stale and plus, people don't really fps for the story, more for the online multiplayer.

@ozziekun , dude, you obviously don't know what you're talking about, and you must be one of those people who judge the game without even wanting to play it that you talk about, because I can tell just by that last comment that you read somewhere that the way missions are given to you is a blatant copy of black ops' way, that being the main character under interrogation.

MW3s Story is good But not going to get sucked by online Play, BattleField story seemed kind of dull and Dice to to me But online play is probably much better than MW3 This is why both games are good =)
