Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare leaves the familiar German and Pacific landscapes to try and tackle the Middle-east. It does so brilliantly. Graphics are top-notch, and battles are invigorating. Story mode ends fairly quickly, but the epic battles continue online. One part in Story mode, however, is chilling and nags at your emotions. You are caught up in a nuclear explosion, and your character is barely alive. Dead bodies and ruin are everywhere. You stagger around aimlessly for a while, taking in the all-too-real-looking destruction, when finally you die. It is cold and can hit your conscience pretty hard. Online battling is fantastic, being lag-free and extremely realistic. Due to the skill level of the players, you are forced to turn every corner cautiously and ready to fire. Modern Warfare is an excellent change-up from the old WWII Call of Duty's, and has a good replay value.
