Search & Destroy FAQS 101

I actually avoided this game mode up until a couple weeks ago, and started playing solely to try ninja defusal. Now it is clearly the most enjoyable game mode! (Double XP & HC = mad rank up tho)

I wanted to bring up UAV tactics .

For instance, on Ambush during offense I noobtubed 3 people cross-map to get a UAV then immediately used it so my team could end the round quickly. However, there are situations where you might just want to keep it for another round.

Lets say I'm on offense and instead of using that UAV, I saved it for the next round. I'll pick up the bomb and wait the first minute before using the it get the locations for whatever players remain.

I guess the guideline would be to either use it as soon as you get it or immediately the following round so your team gets the initial advantage, or save it for use in one of those tough 2v1 or worse situations.

Any adjustments to my UAV ideas are welcome.

You make a good point about going for the airstrike. I think the map would dictate whether it is worth going for an Airstrike or not.

Bog - Yep
Vacant - Probably not, unless you're saving for the defensive switch.

Another factor is how reliable your team is. I wouldn't go for the airstrike, rather try to win the round without it if we have the numbers advantage. Then you can use it in another round late into the match.

Something that hasn't been addressed that should be...

Extra Difusal Time

This is where you're on the defending team and you kill the last person after they have planted. Idealy, you should have a plan to best celebrate this precious time frame before you defuse.

-1. Teabag all the dead bodies within the vicinity of the bomb, including your team mates.

2. Draw pictures with bullet holes
3. Funny run around the bomb
4. Run away from the bomb and lie prone somewhere as if you don't know everyone's dead.

This is a very rough list. It is necessary to rub it in, because it gives your team the psychological advantage for the next round.
