Call of Duty 2 Big Red One is deffiantly a huge leap from Finest Hour but just how good is it from the previous faliure?
Gameplay: The gameplay is soild it has a good amount of guns and a good variety. Theres snipers, semi-automatic, automatic, machine guns like .50 cals and more. The accuary of some of these is a little iffy but it gets the job done. You also can battle using vehicles like tanks, jeeps, armored cars and trucks. Theres a couple parts were you have a tank battle between fellow tanks while your infantry walks to there next destination. You can also experience land, sea and air missions that thankfully has improved controls. Sometimes you get stuck while walking in COD2: BRO, like if you were walking and went to walk between a rock and a wall but the crack is big enough for you to walk through, you'll still get stuck. You can get free after a little jumping and moving. The story is relativly short but its fun the whole way through. The online play is great no lagg that I have experienced yet and good maps. The only problem is alot of people use snipes which are one or a rarity of two hit kills.
Graphics: Even though the back of the case says "One of the best-looking shooters to EVER grace consoles" (IGN) it really isn't all that great. The gun detail is nice and the character models look good too. But the textures are sub-par and the enviorments can be a little iffy looking too. There not bad at all but saying "...best-looking shooters to EVER grace consoles" is a little over the top, but of course it is IGN so thats not saying much.
Sound: The sound is outstanding one of the best qualitys of the game. The guns sound just like how they'd sound like in real life and the voice acting is great as-well. The sound of guns flaring, bombs dropping, bodies falling, and the occasionlly language here and there.
Value: The game doesn't have the most value if you don't have xbox live but its still a great game and is worth playing over again once or twice. If you have xbox live its a great game to play because you can really have some fun with it. I play it at least once a day because its currently my favorite shooter I have.
