A surprisingly good game that is definately worth your time and money.

Having just finished my first play through of this game I was left pleasantly suprised with how much I was immersed in the storyline and how much I enjoyed playing it. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is a very well designed and thought game. It's not so much a FPS as it is a game with stealth, puzzle, and shooting elements melded into a game that is played from a first-person perspective.

Graphically while there is nothing that is really mindblowing in here the backgrounds and characters are well done and the environments really do a good job of setting up the atmosphere of the game. The sound in the game is also very good, especially when the sanity effects kick in and you start hearing imaginary voices.

I did run into a few minor problems in the form of a few perplexing puzzles and fight sequences where I really wasn't too sure on what too do and ended up being more trial and error then anything else. However these were pretty far and few between and they didn't end up being anything overly difficult. My first playthrough was on the normal difficulty setting and it was pretty spot on for difficulty.

Definately a game I would recommend people to pick up especially since I think it has been marked down in price as I just picked this up about 2 weeks ago for $30 Canadian.
