Let me make it clear, this is NOT a hunting game. It IS a skeet shooting game.

Ok, after searching the internet for about an hour, it came clear to me that I wouldn't find a review of this game. So I borrowed the game from one of my friends (who had bought it from another friend for 5 dollars) to give it a try. This is what I thought of it...

Now before I start my review let me tell you that I was a big fan of hunting games back in my youth, (I loved to play Deer Hunter 1,2,3, 05 etc, as well as Cabelas Big Game Hunter 1,2,3, 05 etc) but this game was a total piece of uninspired SKEET SHOOTING sh!t. Why do I call it a SKEET SHOOTING game? Because in each MISSION (thats right, you haft to accomplish MISSIONS) you just kill deer after deer, duck after duck of infinite spawning NPC's (I guess your player has a license to poach) while you beat the clock of 3 minutes per MISSION. If you don't poach enough of the species away, you lose and haft to repeat the level.

Speaking about the levels,-uh-....MISSIONS, There are so many invisible walls that taking 3 steps forward is a impossible task (I'm not fcking kidding). But that won't be a problem, because in half the levels you are stuck in a tree stand just shooting your gun's wildly up in the air.

The game lacks any depth of a real hunting game (example: buying your guns, clothing, equipment, tools, shelters, tracking your prey, setting up tree stands, making camp, mobility, choice of prey, skill, fun, ect) and can only be considered as a point and click shooter.

The graphics are the only good thing, it actually utilizes modern bump-mapping methods on the animal-models and features very realistic grass and water effects. It's a shame that this engine went to waste on this game.

So my final verdict is not to buy this game, and wait for the next Big Game Hunter, or Deer Hunter game. We can only hope they'll do it right.
