Burnout Revenge once again offers an entertaining and thrilling gameplay experience like its predeccessor.

User Rating: 9.6 | Burnout Revenge PS2
Burnout Revenge for the ps2 is a worthy successor to last years Burnout 3. This years version builds upon what gamers liked about B3 and adds new features like the ability to check traffic, vertical takedowns, crashbreakers takedowns, and a refined crash mode. The traffic check mechanic is fairly simple and allows the player to now crash cars and send them flying towards the opposition. This features loosens up gameplay by letting the gameplay be faster since you won't be crashing a lot (hopefully). The vertical takedowns allow you land on top of an opponent and crash then. This is possible and easy to pull off since the tracks now have mulitple paths and elevations. The crashbreakers takedowns allow the user to take out oncoming opponents once you have crashed. By simply pressing the R2 button after you have crashed you blow your car up and take out the other opponents hence the title revenge. The crash mode which is being described as golf by EA now has multiple layers to each crash junction. The beginning of the events starts with a swing meter which represents boost and if you do perfectly then you have a better chance of completing the crash. The multiplyer icons in crash mode are gone and are now replaced with target vehicles which will give you a bonus if you crash them. Audio is another feature in which the game excels and its sound design must be heard on a 5.1 system to be appreciated. Overall Burnout Revenge is even better than lasts years version and once again claims its spot as the premier arcade racer and even the arcade racer in general.
