Burnout Paradise User Review
I recommend it to everyone. Perfect combination of beauty, carnage, and driving.

This could very well be the best driving game I've ever played. Anyone who's played any of the earlier burnout games knows that it focuses primarily on crashing. In my opinion this Burnout perfected crashing; no other game that I've played has had crashes anywhere near as beautiful as the crashes in this. For that reason alone I'd buy the game and keep it. From showtime, to takedowns, to hitting civilian cars or even just running into a wall, it's about as close as a game could get to being real.
I don't consider this a racing game because it doesn't focus on racing, racing is only a part of the game, it has so many other things to do, it never gets boring. Even setting road rules is fun and all you do for that is drive down a street as fast as you can.
The online isn't laggy as far as I've seen and there is a TON of dlc for the game. Not all of it is free, actually i'm pretty sure the only free update is the bikes pack, but the things you have to pay for are worth it. The online mini stats (most near misses, longest drift, etc.) even make free roam fun. It makes free roam an optional competition that sets it apart from just driving around like in most other games.
I didn't rate this game a perfect 10 because when a game is as good as this one I get really picky. A game that's rated 10, in my opinion, should be perfect in every way. The customization of the cars for this game is at a bare minimum which is acceptable, but not preferred, and is not the reason I didn't give it a 10. I'd like to see something being able to be done to the body of the car, but not being able to doesn't take away from the game at all. What does bother me a little bit is how every time you crash, no matter how extreme or ridiculous it is, the tires remain in perfect condition (aside from falling off). The reason I point this out is because the game focuses primarily on crashing, so something should happen to your wheels when you crash, even just popping would be nice, but all they do is fall off and bounce around.
Basically, if you haven't played this then you're missing out. If you really enjoy racing/driving games and you haven't played this then there's something wrong with you.

Looks great as apposed to other racers, but oddly, you won't like to race. This makes for a boring game in good time.

A good old Burnout with just a whiff of EA about it.

Whilst at first it may seem fun, the lack of variety lets it down.
