Awesome speed sensation - contender for best racer on PSP

I didn't rush out and buy this straight away as I thought the Legends version was a bit over rated and have never been a huge fan of the series. My curiosity got the better of me though and I picked it up - I am a huge fan of racing games generally and I just had to try it. I'm so glad I did! The boost chaining is awesome and the graphics are definitly an improvement on the last version. I think the dropping of the crash mode is a shame as I felt that was the redeeming feature on Legends, however the gameplay more than makes up for the loss.
Grahpics - crisp, even at high speeds the detail is excellent.
Sound - Never really understood why people think the sound is sooo important, once I get imersed in the game I don't here it anyway. That said there are some nice tracks on there.
Gameplay - Spot on! Nice handling, good variety of track and cars and modes, nice mix of difficulty too.
Overall - for me there isn't quite enough to take the title away from RR but certainly in the top 4 racers (along with RR, NFS Carbon and ATV Offroad Fury Pro).
