A great sequal to an amzing game... but it's still too short!

User Rating: 8.8 | Burnout 2: Point of Impact GC
Burnout 2: Point of Impact is an amazing sequal to one of the most fun arcade racers on the Gamecube. It improves upon its predecessor in many ways, but doesn't stray too far from what made the series fun in the first place: the real sense of speed, and the intense and crazy crashes!

The gameplay is essentially the same this time around. You race around lots of different tracks with lots of different cars trynig to win all of the races so that you can unlock more races, challenges, and better cars. This time though, the crashes have a bigger role.

The crashes take a much bigger focus in Burnout 2: Point of Impact, for there is a whole crash section of the game where you try to make the most damaging and costly crashes happen on very busy streets. It's a lot of fun, and really adds some replay value to the game as you try to beat your highest score as well as your friends.

Again though, this game is just too short; hell, it felt way shorter than the first one to me! In no time will you unlock everything and have done everything this game has to offer. There are more tracks and more cars, as well as the whole crashing game, but it is still too short. You'll beat this in a couple of short days if you're good. This is still a great game, and probably one of the best game in the series.

The graphics are sound are much better this time around. The graphics are some of the best that I have seen on the Gamecube with the cars looking amazing and all of the tracks looking great too. The sound is much better this time around, with great crash sounds and music and all. This is just really a muchmore polished and better version of the first game, in essence.

This is where the Burnout franchise really started to take off, and it's good to see such a classic game get the ratings it deserves. Great visuals (wayyyy better than the first one), and great sound; everything about this game is near flawless! Get this game if you want to round out a great collection of Burnout games!
