Classic 8-bit gameplay returns to the PS3
But is a game where you just kill zombies any good ? - Oh Yes
In burn zombie burn you play a cool dude who has an uncanny resemblance to bruce campbell from the evil dead movies, he`s even called bruce !
You play in arcade levels where you try to score as much as possible, the trick being to burn the zombies first, hence the game title, then shoot or blow them up, simple but fun. The more zombies you set on fire, the higher your multiplyer goes, when your done roasting, break out the weapons and get blasting !
The weapons range from a basic pistol, a shotgun, an uzi, a gattling gun and many more, zombies also drop power ups that boost your weapons and bombs.
After evey wave, not only does the game get harder, new zombies appear, everything from crazing dancing ones to soldier ones that charge you, there is even a huge troll like zombie that can cause you some serious damage.
Even though the game does have a repetitive nature, its an ideal game to load up when you have a spare 30 mins to hour, apart from the arcade mode, there is challenge mode, and even a 2 player co-op for any level you have unlocked in arcade, its a shame you cant earn the medals in co-op, still want more ? - Ok, there is even a protect your girlfriend mode and a time challenge as well.
I hope they support the game and release some dlc in the near future.
To sum up, burn zombie burn is a fun, funky looking, old school game thats great fun to play in short bursts, and for approx £7 you would be crazy to miss out.
