Fun despite its age

User Rating: 7 | Bully: Scholarship Edition PC

Even though the game was released six years ago, it is still a lot of fun to play. It is a sandbox similar to GTA, only you play as an American high school student, so there is no sex and murder, just making out and fistfights. The game satirizes the American school system, and the dialogue is hilarious, although the humor could do with a little more subtlety at times. In spite of the title, you will find yourself fighting the bullies rather than being one, although the game gives you opportunities to do the latter, as well. You will have a lot of fun adventures, although the story on the whole isn't very well-structured; one minute you will be helping someone, and the next you will be working against them, and at the end everyone starts hating you for no good reason at all. Fighting takes up most of the game, but there are also stealth missions, races and mini-games, so you won't get bored. As you progress in the game, you will unlock new costumes, weapons, means of transportation, fighting moves and other useful stuff. There is definitely no lack of content here. The only things that I found annoying, beside the weak plot, are the lack of proper fast travel (you can use bus stops to travel to the school, but that's it) and the horrible camera behavior during some fights.
