Bulletstorm isn't quite what it claims to be, but is an interesting treat.

User Rating: 8 | Bulletstorm PC
Bulletstorm is an over-the-top first person shooter game by Epic Games and Electronic Arts. The game claims that it's not your average shooter, but that isn't quite true. It has some interesting scenes that amaze you, but most of the game just feels like a mediocre Call of Duty title with repetitive firefights. The art design is great, though and has some fine eye candy. The game's story isn't all that great and neither are the characters, the dialogue is constantly offensive language and sometimes even racial slurs. You have the option to shut off the offensive things, but it doesn't at all improve the dialogue's main structure.

The good:
-Great visuals and environments that must have taken hundreds of hours of making concept art.
-Some thrilling moments beyond the average game's production values.
-Some new twists on the first person shooter genre.
-The game contains some occasional jokes that might make you giggle, at the most. Unless you are extremely immature, of course, which could prove you shouldn't be playing this game in the first place.
-Direct X 11 compatibility :D

The bad:
-Annoying characters and so-so story all about revenge.
-Contains a lot of tedious firefights that get boring after the first few chapters.
-Extreme technical issues with the PC version that you may encounter depending on your graphics card, even if it's a newer model. It requires manually tweaking the game by decrypting configuration files in the game's program folder. It's unneccessary and should be fixed. If you don't fix it, you may see some huge graphical glitches.
