A pretty good Sci-fi shooter.

User Rating: 9 | Brute Force XBOX
The good: graphics are good, Ai is smart, lots of weapons, multiplayer, co-op

The bad: Singleplayer is boring

When i first got this game i saw all the reviews by other people and i thought i made a big mistake in getting it but i was wrong and im glad i was.

To start it off the game does not have mush of a story so its basically just you and your squad completing various missions.

So you and your squad (brute force) Are just a squad that gets called in when something needs to being taking care of such as Rescuing a spy of yours that gets caught and after you rescue him you have to protect him til you get to a zone where you can be taken away.
And the gameplay in the campaign can get very repetitive such as blow up this or rescue this guy which can get to be very boring after a while.
There are about 20 missions in all meaning about 8-14 hours of gameplay depending on what difficulty you have the game on.
And even on the easiest setting it can be hard at times for instance one mission after you rescue a spy (who is also a alien priest) and if he dies its mission over and since there are a lot of enemies it makes it hard to keep him alive.

But other than that mission the rest are fairly easy, and the missions range from short to When-is-it-going-to-end types of missions.

There is co-op for up to 4 players which is nice and adds some replay value since playing the campaign with the AI characters is rather boring.

The co-op is also somewhat easier on the hard missions since you can have 4 people tackling the same objective at the same time, and it is also much more fun to play with your friends then AI. And at anytime during the missions you can drop in and drop out of the missions which is nice so instead if someone wants to quit they can just drop out instead of having to quit and then restart the mission.

And since you can change your character in single player between one of the four squad members who each have there own special ability, Tex who is an all out assault guy and would never think of stealth his special is berserk which he can pullout two chain-guns at once and then fire them,
Hawk who is the stealth expert and go invisible and then pulls out a blade that can kill with one stab(or slash), then there is Flint who is the sniper of the squad and she is also a cyborg even though she may not look like one her special is lock on, and last but not least there is brutus who is a lizard like creature and is all-round ok at everything and his special makes everyone stand out from the environment.
You will fight against pretty much the same enemies depending on which of the world type you are at (snow, volcano, jungle and so on).
There are a large amount of weapons in the game like a type of shotgun, a minigun, some laser weapons, a rail gun, sniper rifle and some others (the large amount of weapons makes it hard to tell one from another even though they each have their own name).

The multiplayer is no doubt the best part of the game even though it only has 2 game modes deathmatch and squad deathmatch which is team deathmatch (well sorta).
Deathmatch is for up to 4 players on splitscreen and more on systemlink there is no xbox live which kinda disappointing since the squad deathmatch is very good.
And squad deathmatch is sorta like team deathmatch and survival game modes put together, what i mean is that you can set the game to end in a certain amount of time and in that amount you have to play as many rounds as you can and win as many rounds as you can, and to win a round you have to kill all the other teams members (they dont get respawns til next round) and it is for up to 4 players and since it is squad deathmatch there are four members per squad and since you can only go up to 4 players on splitscreen and there are 2 teams meaning 8 players in all the rest of the players are filled up with bots. But you can not have four people on one team and then just play against the bots there has to be at least one human player on each team.
There are four-6 characters to start with but you can unlock more as you find DNA canisters throughout the campaign for a total of about 25 characters in all.
And there are about 7 maps for each game mode but you can not unlock any.

The music is pretty good even though its not very noticeable, the guns each seem to have their own sound even the laser guns, the character acting is very good and not at all corny or cheesy or even dumb for that matter.

The character animation look very good and have almost no flaws in them the one problem i had with the graphics is that in big battles (they can get outrageous almost) in the big battles there can be a lots of lag. Other than that there are almost no problems with the graphics the worlds look very detailed.

So overall there are a few flaws in the game but that does not stop it from making it a geat game so dont let that stop you from getting it.
