An homage to rock with a few shortcomings hindering perfection.

First of all, this game soundtrack is GREAT. Tons of classics here to jam to throughout the game.

As for the gameplay however, well. It seems to be one of those tragic games where you could tell what they were trying to do but it falls short.

Such as the combat. It really isnt very deep at all considering you do quite a bit of hand to hand throughout. There are a handfull of stail moves and upgrades that left me unfulfilled. And the fighting itself seems a bit off..Im not sure what it is exactly.

There is also a slight realtime strategy component that only barely scratches the surface. You upgrade to about 10-12 units but only really need 4-5 of them. These strategy moments are often very frustrating and difficult only because your forces are so underpowered and later on seem to just get annihilated by the opposing force far too easily.

But the game isnt all bad. Like I said the soundtrack is indeed brutal and the characters and open-world landscape is extremely creative and likeable. Sadly it feels empty and there is not much at all to do but drive around or finish the story.

If I recall correctly this game went through a pretty tumultuous development process so maybe thats what held it back a bit.

But the price has dropped dramatically to where it is so cheap you dont have much reason not to at least try this creative rock homage. I doubt we will ever see one like this again..
