Not just another WWII shooter!

The first thing I need to make clear is this game is not another run of the mill WWII shooter. It is a FPS game that takes place in WWII but it offers game play mechanics that are rarely if ever seen in the run of the mill WWII FPS titles, thankfully this game has those features as it is what separates it from the dark abyss of uncompleted forgettable games.

BIA: HH offers you the ability to command various squads to fight by your side. You can instruct these squads to set up flanks, suppress fire or directly attack the enemy positions. You are generally given control of around 5-10 other units to fight with you so it doesn't get out of hand strategically. I shouldn't forget to mention there are also a couple tank missions to separate the action throughout the game.

The one other thing that makes this game stick out in this heavily saturated genre is the fact that it is more realistic than nearly all others, note I say more realistic not actually realistic. Meaning you cannot run in like rambo and kill everyone like in the CoD franchise. If you want to succeed in this game you will need to utilize cover, use burst shots as to not take on too much fire and most importantly use the squads you have at your command with at least a basic amount of strategy.

The story is fairly basic, but offers decent voice acting with enough story to keep you interested enough to not want to skip it all. The graphics are somewhat bland but not lacking enough to make me think I'd gone back in time or anything. The action of the guns are fairly smooth, accuracy is an issue but an intended one, you actually need to setup shots and aim.

Overall the game isn't great, but isn't bad by any means. It's definitely worth a play through, especially with a lower price point which should be just about everywhere now.
