Brothers in arms Earned in Blood is a very good WWII tactical FPS. Issuing the right orders to your teammates and flanking the enemy is crucial for success.
When everything works (and you're winning LOL), the experience is truly immersive and exhilarating
However, the tactical overhead map can really be problematic (at least on Xbox on which i played). It was very rare that I saw what I wanted to see with it. This view is based on a camera position that is unwieldy, often does not show you the battlefield far enough, does a bad job giving you an idea of orientation and that at worst swivels in a very disorienting way whan you switch units. I think a simple 2D map seen from above would have been much more practical than the 3D representation used in the game.
