Starting with Broken Sword, you are George Stobbart sipping coffee outside of the café when a bomb goes off in the café, immediately after, you are embroiled into a chain of mysterious conspiracies that will change his life forever. This game has beatifically illustrated environments and speech is recorded for everyone you interact with, this game will go down as an instant classic and, in my opinion, sets the benchmark for future adventure games, this game is epically fantastic and the ending, you find out that people cannot be trusted and opens it up for a sequel.
Broken Sword 2 is much of the same as the first game in the genre, the speech is recorded for every interaction and you get to travel to fantastically illustrated environments, the graphics are the same, but I say if the formula of the previous was fantastic, why change it.
These two games are absolutely fantastic, I don't mind that you have to speak to nearly everyone on your travels, it is part of the game and builds up a sense of mystery and wanting to uncover the secrets.
